Since my original review, my family and I have continued trying to work with Progress Residential in good faith. We were connected with Irene from the Customer Advocacy Team, and we have made every effort to work with her toward a reasonable resolution. Unfortunately, we continue to experience the same lack of urgency, communication, and accountability. My family has been displaced throughout this process. Progress arranged hotel accommodations, which I initially appreciated. However, when we attempted to check into the hotel on Friday, the hotel required a credit card on file for charges that Progress had indicated would be covered. Because of this issue, my family and I were left without a place to stay for three nights. I immediately contacted Dispatch and informed them that we had nowhere to stay. We have continued trying to get answers about our lease because we cannot continue living out of temporary accommodations. I have repeatedly explained that we need to know whether Progress will mutually terminate our lease so that we can find permanent housing. Instead, we were told that our request for early lease termination had not been approved and that it would only be considered after the repairs are completed. I also specifically raised with Irene the issue of receiving a prorated rent credit for the time our family has been unable to occupy the home, as well as the damage to our personal belongings and Progress’s position that we should use our renters insurance. I still have not received a clear answer regarding either issue. I understand that renters insurance exists to protect tenants, but I continue to question why my personal insurance should automatically be expected to absorb losses when the underlying roof problem had already been reported and there was an existing work order before the damage occurred. Communication has continued to be a major problem. Irene has taken as long as three days to respond to what I consider simple but urgent emails. When I recently called the office because I needed immediate assistance, I was told that Irene asked the customer service representative to send me to her voicemail because she could not take my call at that time. I understand that everyone has responsibilities and may not always be available by phone, but given the seriousness of my situation, this level of communication is extremely frustrating. I was told that my case was being treated as a high priority, but my experience does not reflect that. If my case is truly a priority, I should not have to wait days for responses, repeatedly call for assistance, or feel as though I am being ignored while my family is displaced and I am trying to secure stable housing. At this point, I would like to know if there is a manager, regional manager, escalation specialist, or another member of the Customer Advocacy Team who can take over or review my case. I am not asking to bypass anyone. I am asking for someone who can actually communicate with me and help bring this matter to a resolution. At this point, my family and I are exhausted. We have tried to cooperate with Progress Residential, worked with maintenance and restoration personnel, provided access, reported every new issue, cooperated with temporary housing, and tried to work with Irene through the Customer Advocacy Team. Yet we are still waiting for clear answers regarding our lease termination request, prorated rent for the time we have been displaced, and responsibility for our damaged personal belongings. This is no longer simply a maintenance issue. This has affected my family’s housing, belongings, finances, time, and overall well-being. We simply want a fair resolution and the ability to move forward. After everything that has happened, we need someone at Progress Residential to take ownership of this case, communicate with us, and actually help bring this nightmare to an end.

New renters beware… Read before signing. My experience with Progress Residential has been extremely frustrating. I reported a roof issue on June18th, yet roof repairs didn’t begin until August 11th, 54 days later. During that time, I was told the work order for missing shingles was paused, pending HOA approval and payment. Then storms hit, water entered, and ultimately the ceiling in the kitchen and living room collapsed, exposing insulation and rafters, and displacing my family. That night, we even had to stay in the home with the ceiling open because a hotel wasn’t arranged quickly. After the collapse, I put up plastic and patched the damaged area myself to keep things from getting worse because it was taking so long for anyone to be dispatched. I repeatedly reported each development, asked for written updates and clear next steps, but calls were not returned and emails were never answered. I still haven’t been able to get a clear conversation about lease options or any meaningful guidance on that issue—no one has pointed me to someone who can help. Temporary hotel housing was eventually arranged, which I appreciated, but the restoration wasn’t even offered until I pressed for it. The whole situation has taken a toll on my family, especially with kids just starting school. I was also directed to file a renter’s insurance claim for personal property damage, but I still question why a known, previously reported roof issue resulted in displacement and losses for the tenant. My core concern is the delay, the communication gaps, and the lack of clear lease guidance after displacement. I hope Progress Residential takes reported maintenance issues more urgently, provides qualified contacts to discuss lease options when habitability is affected, and communicates clearly in writing when requested. Restoration begins today. I will update review once it’s all said and done.

The process to sign lease and complete documents was extremely easy. The issue is they did not do a thorough job cleaning the home prior to us moving in. Our home had multiple safety and cleanliness issues. We had an elevated work order and multiple people would contact us and say we need to talk t to the case manage, but the case manager didn’t contact us.

I have had a number of interactions with various members of the Progress Residential Support Team. From the initial application process, to maintenance requests, my needs for keeping a comfortable well-maintained rental home in Sahuarita have been met and exceeded. Joan's responses to my various questions have always been answered promptly. Robert, one of the maintenance technicians, has been thorough when assigned to complete each request for minor and regular maintenance. He always provides helpful information I can use in the home. His manner of interacting with me, as a tenant, is appreciated and I never feel rushed. Thank you, Team!
