I lived here for about 3 years from 2015-2018, then moved back here mid-2024 from Chandler/Gilbert. Initially I rented a 2 bed/2 bath with a friend, but since I moved back in 2024, I’ve had a standard 1 bed/1 bath.
If you read through all these reviews, you’re probably thinking that these are dingy apartments with a ton of problems. I can’t speak for everyone’s experience, and I can sympathize with the residents who left here with only negative things to say, but at the end of the day, people really only leave reviews when they have something bad to say.
These buildings aren’t perfect. They’re old, and the issues that come with older properties arise from time to time. We do have water shut-offs in order to complete repairs, but the staff either lets us know 1-2 days in advance, or even more, or sends out an email immediately for an emergency repair. And honestly, the speed and compassion with which issues are handled by the maintenance and administration teams is one of my favorite things about living here. If you have a problem, like the dishwasher not working or, like I had, a large leak from upstairs, you cannot deny that the complex takes every issue very seriously and dispatches someone to help as soon as they can. And they aren’t “quick fixes” - the leak in my ceiling was repaired and the drywall replaced the next day.
The teams themselves are so personable and kind. The maintenance guys are super friendly, very considerate, and very professional. During the leak repair, they accidentally left my front door open, and one of the men immediately began running around outside looking for my cat in case she got out. She didn’t, thankfully, but it was very nice of him to take it seriously.
And the admin team? Wonderful. Responsive, accommodating as much as they can be, and respectful about giving notice about building-wide repairs or inspections. Any time I’ve needed to speak to them to address something, they are so willing to help and are nice about it, which not many administrators are. We had a large pest control measure taken recently, and they were very understanding and accommodating when it came to my disability getting in the way of that process. They also still sent someone to perform a treatment even though it was less intense.
These apartments aren’t $2500 luxury units with every possible amenity, but I don’t need them or expect them to be that. I chose this place twice because it’s both affordable and pleasant to live here. My neighbors are of all different backgrounds, but there’s still a wonderful sense of community. I feel safe and comfortable, and I know that any concerns I have will be taken seriously. This place feels like a home, not just an apartment. Even the $3000/month “luxury” apartment I rented in Gilbert didn’t feel like that.
In short: understand that these are older, fairly standard apartments with the issues that often occur in similar places, you get what you pay for, but that doesn’t mean you get nothing or worse than nothing. I pay what I can afford and I get the best I could ask for in that price range and more with the admin and maintenance teams. I’ll be here for as long as I can.
