I’ve been a happy 5 year resident at Aventura. Thank you
DO NOT LIVE HERE!! I moved out last year and i have yet to see my deposit. in addition to that i forgot to transfer the TEP service right away. They made me pay TEP for it, even though i didn’t live there anymore. then a few months later sent me 1 email saying i owe the apartment money, that i didn’t pay all of my last bill (rent/water). WHICH I DID on time. then they decided to send it to collections because i didn’t pay them, from the ONE EMAIL they sent me. also don’t understand why they couldn’t just use the large deposit they have yet to send me to go towards that random $140 they’re saying i owe them? the apartment isn’t even that nice. the AC sucked and was hot as hell all the time, the front door wouldn't lock correctly. i would never live here again or even suggest it to someone i hated. please save yourself time, money and energy and find somewhere else to live.

This was literally the worst place I’ve ever lived. Do not waste your money to deal with never ending management battles, unanswered maintenance requests and phone calls, and unsanitary living conditions. Even with help from pest control the roaches wouldn’t go away and communal areas are NEVER clean. I wouldn’t recommend moving in here to my worst enemy
Worst place I have ever lived harass you about money but then refused to fix anything and don’t answer your calls and then not to mention they’ll pin stuff on you when you leave the apartments and when you try to pay off, whatever you owe, they decide not to answer the phone ever and lock your account so you can’t pay you so then they can send you to collections.
If I could leave negative stars I would. The entire staff from the receptionists and property manager Brenda, as well as the maintenance woman are not only rude and unprofessional, they are down right vindictive. We've had issues with them since the day we moved in. There was a massive leak in the master closet that was obviously coming from the wall that we shared with the neighboring units bathroom. Maintenance literally came in, looked at the dried water on the floor, went into our bathroom, did a terrible job of re-caulking the tub handle & faucet and said it was repaired. Obviously it wasn't. We fought with Brenda to get an actual repair person out. They finally showed up days later at 7:30PM!! They had to open the wall because a pipe was leaking. The wooden frame was completely rotten as this was obviously going on for a long time and there was black mold everywhere. The repairman left and the maintenance woman came in to clean and repair the wall. I expressed concerns for mold, the maintenance woman adamantly denied it being mold. I began taking photos/videos to which she asked me to stop. I told her no, I have to document this for my safety. I asked her to stop, to vacate my apartment and leave the trash bag of what she'd cleaned. I came back and found her attempting to dispose of the evidence and I began to record her & demanded she return the evidence to me. She tried to run until my spouce told her I was recording. She then called my spouse names in Spanish not realizing he speaks Spanish and called her out. Front office manager Brenda stated there was no mold in my apartment and refused to treat it and attempted to repair the wall. I had a licensed and bonded mold inspector come out immediately who provided all necessary documentation showing it was in fact mold and needed to be treated by a mold specialist. I provided these findings to Brenda who refused to reimburse me for the inspection, refused to provide info on how she had the mold treated even though I could smell the bleach they sprayed on it, which the mold inspector advised would not kill the mold. Brenda then had the wall boarded up, refused to move us units or fully reimburse me for the time I missed at work (I work from home and cannot work while unauthorized people are in my home as I work with sensitive information). Brenda has been so unprofessional, raised her voice at me, cost me time and money as well as showed she does not care about the safety and health of her tenants. She has intentionally sent repair people to my apartment during my working hours which I had shared with her my full work schedule, told me that everything must be done within business hours, citing that end of business is 3pm. It's not. Close of business is 5pm and I have done everything I can within reason to be flexible. I could never in good conscience recommend Aventura as a place to live or work.
