This is a cheap apartment community in a dicey part of Tucson. My elderly, fixed-income mother lived there from for the last 7 years. During that time she has:
- Been assaulted by a neighbor. There were ongoing issues that management had the opportunity to mitigate, but chose a hands off approach that resulted in my 68 year old, stroke-victim mother, getting beat up in front of her apartment by someone who was 31.
- Had her car broken into twice.
- Had plants and patio furniture stolen off of her patio.
- Was in a bad car accident in front of the entrance to the community due to someone else's reckless driving.
Each year, management would pressure her to renew her lease until this year, when they gave her 7 weeks notice that they would not renew her lease, forcing us to find her a new home during a pandemic.
Management is very unprofessional, unhelpful, and at times, rude. Maintenance requests often went unresolved for days, including one for a leaking toilet. Shared laundry rooms often have broken equipment.
While having to move her during a pandemic wasn't ideal and the manner in which they went about it all was very cold, the bright side is that she's in a nicer place now. We will not miss the problems we constantly had to hear about regarding Alegria Apartment Homes.
EDIT: The management company is VERY proactive in replying to these reviews, but if you read them, they all sound like the same, empty dribble. Notice the "bursts" of good reviews. That is likely indicative of damage control, or worse, fraudulent reviews in attempt to raise their rating. For the negative ones they always say something along the lines of, "oh you should come talk to us". Why? So you can argue and gaslight people to their faces? You do realize that many of us left these reviews because there was no other recourse left, right? We already complained to you in person. We sent emails. We called. Then we came here and told our story.
They say they cant find record of me being a resident. I made it very clear in my review that this was on the behalf of my mother, who was the resident. All I can do is shake my head and be thankful I'll never get another phone call regarding this dangerous, unfit apartment complex.
