  I was truly taken aback with the unexpected affordability being offered and the many amenities. The office staff was very professional and friendly as can be. I think they may have found a new resident.

  If I could give this place 0 stars I would. The only good thing about this entire building is the maintenance guy Bob. When we moved in, the apartment was absolutely filthy and furniture was MATTED in animal hair. The hallways ate disgusting and not maintained, neither are the elevators. Every single weekend there is throw up or animal feces in the hallways that was left there for months. My bathroom cabinets were absolutely chipped everywhere, it was left in a terrible condition and we were expected to clean it even though we JUST moved in. Maintenance tickets took weeks sometimes months to be fixed, we had a practically unusable washer for half of our lease, and my roommate didn’t have a functioning toilet for almost a month. To top it all off, they will unexpectedly slam you with cleaning fees for things that literally DO NOT exist. Also, ANY five star reviews only exist because they give away free hoodies and merch in exchange for a good review. NONE of it is actually real and I haven’t heard of any good reviews from ANYONE that’s lived here. There’s a reason hardly anyone renews their leases. Front desk is kind but literally NOBODY helps with anything. Find a different place to live if you don’t wanna hate ur life fr. Goodnight Tempe.

  If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. This apartment complex is predatory and takes advantage of the student that live here. The accounting department posted multiple “move-in” fees to my account AFTER I had already MOVED OUT, claiming they were due because I chose not to renew my lease. I moved in through a relet and specifically asked multiple times before moving in if there were any additional fees such as admin/application/or deposit I was told there were none MULTIPLE TIMES. Matt Lopater is ridiculous and extremely unhelpful. Matt Lopater’s handling of my situation was unacceptable. Rather than taking responsibility for the property’s failure to disclose required move-in fees, he defended charging me even though in the lease it says these are to be posted/charged at or before the time of move in. I left the conversation feeling like accountability simply doesn’t exist at this property. Based on my experience, management’s priority was protecting the property’s mistakes instead of treating residents fairly. If these were legitimate move-in fees, they should have been disclosed and collected before I was given keys—not months later because your staff failed to do their jobs. The communication between leasing and accounting is terrible. Every person gives a different answer, no one takes responsibility, and residents are left dealing with surprise charges that were never properly explained. Also multiplied work orders were submitted for the same issues, including the nasty faucet shown in my photo (PHOTO TAKEN THE DAY I MOVED IN!), and they were never properly resolved. This apartment came with broken blinds, drainage issues and damage to all cabinets in the bathroom. Mind you they also say the walk through are held before and after move in and move out. That never happened. This property’s lack of communication, surprise fees, and failure to take accountability created unnecessary stress. If you’re considering living here, document everything and question every charge. Based on my experience, I would never recommend this property.

  Do not lease here. Cardinal Group Management is an unprofessional, predatory management team. They will hand you a filthy apartment on day one, and then completely nickel-and-dime you for pre-existing damage when you move out. I am currently being completely hassled over an absurd $133.33 in bogus move-out charges..... OVER A YEAR AFTER MOVING OUT The Move-In Reality: When I first moved into this unit, it was handed over in an unacceptable, disgusting condition. The dishwasher was severely moldy with surrounding water damage, the window blinds were completely chewed up by a dog, and there was pre-existing mold and water damage around the bathtub base and inside the toilet bowl. I took extensive, timestamped photos of everything on day one. The Move-Out Scam: Fast forward to move-out. They offer extremely limited amounts of walk throughs with a staff member and instead push a "expedited move out" where a "inspector" dings you for as much as they can. Does not make sense to me how they are trying to charge me based on photo evidence 10 days after they the "official inspection", and continuing to hassle me over a year later. They count on college students and busy residents just paying these fees to avoid the headache. If you value your sanity, your security deposit, and your rights as a tenant, avoid SoL and any property run by Cardinal Group.
