- VFVon FortsonFeb 18, 20251.0I’ve been with flag star for three years . They sold my loan to M&T bank . I paid my loan on the 30th of January 25 and then was told 2 weeks later on the 14 that my payment didn’t process and I now have to pay M&T bank . I look up M&T bank they have a 1 star rating … I spend over an hour on the phone with the bank just trying to get my login figured out with M&T bank . I would not recommend flagstar or M&T bank after the bad taste that was left in my mouth .

Gotta say it’s been great, no surprise fees I’ve noticed, I can see my account balance online—sometimes they maintenance the site and can’t login but it’s usually later at night anyways, I can schedule biweekly payments with the autopay (LOVE THIS!!!), and pay off towards the principal balance when I have extra cash with no prepayment penalties. Love it and looking forward to paying off my mortgage sooner 😄

My intelligence is far more advanced than this type of technique. I just don't appreciate people making me jump through hoops when they knew they didn't want to do the loan and that just stressed me out.. shame on them They need to be up front and very unprofessional and I would never recommend this bank to anyone
