  I am leaving this review regarding the maintenance and overall management experience at Somerset Apartments. Lewisville, Tx While I understand the maintenance staff may have language barriers, we have made multiple efforts over time to clearly communicate issues and walk through concerns step by step. Despite this, there continues to be a pattern of misunderstanding or misrepresentation of what is actually needed. In many cases, the maintenance approach has felt invasive and unprofessional. Concerns are sometimes exaggerated or incorrectly documented, which has led to unnecessary charges for what should be standard maintenance or property upkeep. This has made the process frustrating and difficult to trust. We have also experienced maintenance entering areas around our bedroom window without prior notice, which was very concerning. When addressed, the issue was not properly handled. We have lived here for 7 years and have paid over $134,400 in rent. Over time, we have seen significant changes in management and office staff, especially after ownership changes. Unfortunately, communication and service quality have declined, and it no longer feels consistent or reliable. There have also been serious issues including flooding, pest infestations, and repeated maintenance concerns that were not resolved in a timely manner. We were forced to discard many belongings and even stay in a hotel during flooding events. At one point, work orders were lost from the system after ownership changes, and repairs were significantly delayed. Overall, this experience has become extremely disappointing. We feel the property is not being managed at the level expected, and we would strongly caution others before choosing to live here. If you have children, do not live here. The conditions are unacceptable…..rats have literally jumped on people, leaving kids scared to sleep at night, and the roach problem is just as bad with crawling on them. These are not the kinds of memories children should ever have to go through. On top of that, the manager is rude and unhelpful, making an already stressful situation even worse. This is not a safe or comfortable place for families. *******Stalking and Harassment from maintenance workers!*************** PREDATORY behavior************** Please watch your kids on this property.

  The tenants are loud, drink huge amounts of beer, blast speakers at all hours of the day and night a day take over the pool during the warmer months. The residents cannot access the pool at all. They are bullied out of it. This place is a frat house. The office are useless. The claim "it's not that loud and you can always move". They never answer the phone. If you to get peace and quiet after a days work...don't move here.

  I had a terrible move out experience. First, I was given the incorrect dates by their rep for payment due. Second they lied to me about being able to pay online and forced me to get a cashier check. Third, they tried to blame the entire debacle on me like I am a moron or deadbeat scum. I did make an error and got a check with .15 cents instead of .75 cents which was an honest mistake. They called me to let me know and demanded I get a brand new check to which I asked if they could cash the check I already got for them and if I could instead pay cash, or make a payment for the remaining $0.60 online. The rep still demanded I get a new check so I spoke with a manager who agreed to cash the current check but she still demanded I get a new check for $0.60. I understand that I made a mistake but I was treated very poorly and rudely by their team who instead resorted to blaming me and outright lying about what happened. I will never live in another WWC community and I encourage everyone to do their research and really know what you are getting yourself into with them.
