  I love the Rey. It truly feels like home to me the staff are wonderful. Apartments are modern and spacious. I’m so happy I made the move to the Rey!

  About halfway through my time at the Rey, there was a complete staff change in the leasing office, and it made a massive improvement. Everyone on the leasing team (Clodina, Landon, Thomas, Mary) plus the maintenance crew made living at the Rey so much easier than it was when I first moved in. They are helpful, friendly, responsive, and straightforward. The building itself is great too (the pool, gym, and rooftop lounge are all wonderful). The only factors keeping this review from being 5 stars are mostly things out of the control of the Rey’s staff. The garage is pretty tight and has a couple of blind turns, which is especially problematic given how recklessly many residents and visitors drive through it. I’ve seen accidents happen and had a few close calls myself. Additionally, the area around the building isn’t in great shape. It’s only a short walk to the center of downtown (south of Van Buren) and the Roosevelt area, both of which are nicer, but the couple of blocks immediately surrounding the building are pretty rough in terms of homelessness and trash (don’t even think about going to that Circle K). As I said, that is no fault of the Rey, but it’s worth noting if you’re thinking about moving to the area. Many thanks to all the staff for making my experience positive!

  Lived here for two years. It was fairly clean, sometimes noisy but that is expected with the area. I am leaving a negative review because dealing with management from the beginning has been disorganized and a headache. It actually makes me viscerally anxious every time I think about it. In the beginning, they gave my parking spot to another resident (and I could have been towed), and my one saving grace was a random email from months prior of them confirming it. There were many mistakes made like that, that showed a level of disorganization that really hurt its residents. You can't trust anything they say verbally so please make sure you have everything in writing!! We moved out a year ago and just got a debt collection notification on a move out charge that we have proof we paid immediately A YEAR AGO. Also, it took them 8 months to get our security deposit back. I wanna cry. :/
