  So there are a few issues that we have had over the months of living here and we are getting kinda fed up. My wife is currently 9 months pregnant and we signed a lease stating that this would be a smoke free community. It is FAR from smoke free, we have at least 5 people that we KNOW are smoking in the building around us and the maintenance guy came into our apartment with a vape IN HIS HAND. Its just overall not what we signed up for and along with that we were promised that we wouldnt hear the upstairs neighbors since the building is brand new and top line. We hear them ALL HOURS OF THE DAY it doesnt matter if its 3am or 7pm they are banging around CONSTANTLY and we're about to have a newborn. We love our apartment style its just so much negative is starting to stack and it feels like nothing we actually signed up for is accurate.

  I would give this property zero stars if it allowed me. I would strongly advise anyone considering Refinery at Pointe 17 to think twice before signing a lease. My personal experience was beyond disappointing. The biggest issue with this property is the management lacking professionalism and respect. The Manager, Polet is rarely present which affects getting assistance when she is needed and she does not show up to a scheduled meeting you made with her. The leasing agent, Gabriel, consistently came off as rude and acted as if residents are a burden and not valued. There was also a women, assuming wife or girlfriend, alongside Gabriel in the office. Sometimes even seen laying behind the desk on the floor. He was also seen playing some sort of video game while sitting at the front desk. This gives the office an extremely unprofessional atmosphere. Security and safety were also a huge concern of mine. I experienced packages being stolen and witnessing a strange man walking throughout the property attempting to enter back doors as I was walking my dog. The most frustrating experience I encountered was being locked out of both the building and my apartment, WITH my belongings still in my unit. Polet's reasoning to removing my access was due to "residents sending her pictures of me moving out" I had not given any move-out notice nor was I served any sort of documentation of eviction. My rent was ALWAYS paid on time. I was given no notice of my access being removed. I was left outside in 100 plus degree weather with my baby. Once I was let into the building and my apartment I gathered all of my belonging and vacated the unit due to no longer feeling safe and welcomed. I was also told to give in my keys to Polet. AGAIN, with no notice. This situation was completely unacceptable. I cannot recommend this complex, the only good thing this property has going for them is the maintenance. As far as Polet and Gabriel, there is serious lack in customer service, communication, professionalism, and respect.

  The amenities would have to be my favorite things about the community. The pool & fitness center are amazing and the location of the community is great!

  The Refinery at Pointe17 team has been responsive and helpful, and used their leverage advocate for me when I had a problem as a tenant. Thank you Polet and Gabriel! The community is well maintained and clean and the gym has a real squat rack which is rare for an apartment.

  HVAC rooftop unit noise issues in 4th floor. If you can stand the 54 db noise when you need to sleep, then 4th floor is okay to stay. They tried to fix it, but still not any better. EV charging port has no security code and don't need an APP, anyone can scan with their phone and start to charge their car as long as you pay from your phone.
