I’ve lived at Presidio for almost 14 months and I haven’t had any serious issues. The staff has always been friendly, especially when I’ve needed to borrow a key when I forgot mine or letting me through the gate when I forget my gate opener. I also feel it’s pretty secure when you ask for a key they usually ask questions and walk you. My washer had broke in my unit and the mantainence fixed it with in a couple of days and office was very good at responding and keeping me up to speed when ordering the new machine. I have pretty good neighbors everyone is too themselves or waves hi. Also the office usually does fun things like giving us door mats we can paint, tacos, treats, even having a sip and wine glass painting session in their office. I see a lot of reviews talking about bugs but I’ve never seen any in my unit I’ve never had any of the issues a lot of people post about. Maybe because I’m not on the side they lived on. I would recommend living here me and my husband were able to move out in this economy and still saved. Grateful for my stay at presido.

I have lived here for about three years and it's wild how fast things went downhill. I started out in a studio which was nice, the electric is included in the rent so that's why it's "free". I lived on the top floor and the studios have elevator access which is nice. They do feel like more of a room for rent rather than a home; the bathroom is smaller than the closet-good luck, tall people! I wanted a place that felt more like a home so I moved into a one bedroom on the ground floor.
That was a mistake.
Before I even officially moved in, they somehow mistook my security deposit that was supposed to be transferred over from the studio to the one bedroom as a rent payment and rather than apologize and give me my money back, they said that they either needed a new deposit (as if I had $1500 extra just lying about) or the could roll the deposit fee into my rent, which is what I wound up doing, even though it was completely their mistake. The upstairs units flooring is so thin that I could hear my neighbor playing his music at 3am. I could also hear every footstep, movement, activity, EVERYTHING. I complained about the noise until it got to a point that I told the leasing office people that I wanted to be moved into an upstairs unit. Robyn asked me that if they got him to leave, would I stay in my apartment. I said yes. He moved away and for a very too brief time I knew peace in my apartment. Then the new neighbors moved in AND THEY ARE WORSE. They make so much noise at all hours of the day, sometimes so loud that it seems like something might crash through my ceiling. I complained once to the leasing office ladies about it only to be told "some old people are nocturnal" and "we just need to move you into an upstairs unit!" I HAD WANTED TO DO THAT IN THE FIRST PLACE. The reason I was given for them not wanting to move me into an upstairs building was "because we're having roach problems in that building". I had guests over about three weeks ago and they asked me if the upstairs neighbors were always that loud and how do I live with that nonsense. Oh, and they recently started a pest control regimen FOR THE WIDESPREAD ROACH PROBLEM. There's also regular piles of dog feces everywhere, the "gated community" is a farce as the front gates regularly break and the walls in the back area of the complex aren't fully connected, it's a constant game of Russian Roulette with the water as it seems that there's always some leak in the pipes and the added on fees for unnecessary services jack up rent. Paying $25 a month for "valet trash services" that either never show up or only show up if you've performed every step of their ritual correctly but only $6 for (nonexistent) "pest and maintenance control" is absolutely wild. Don't move here.

My son just moved in and the apartment is very nice and didn’t see any issues with roaches. The environment is friendly and quiet. Luna at the office has excellent customer service skills and was very helpful. The trash service was right on time, no issues with anything else.
Day one/hour one I thought the place was pretty decent, but then the daily roach battles began, A/C couldn't be set to anything but 68 or it'd break apparently, water got turned off every other day for longer time frames than scheduled, and the kitchen cabinets had a smell that I could never get out. It was like sewer gas and wasabi. The ladies at the main desk are always helpful at least.
