This apartment complex is the best place I have ever lived! The staff are kind and friendly, they always work with you on your issues, and they assist when scheduling problems arise and are flexible and professional. They always address maintenance issues, and the maintenance man is absolutely wonderful. He even let my daughter help him fix things around the apartment and didnt treat her like a bother. Ana is a brilliant manager and is always kind and straight to the point. If there is a billing issue they always work with you. The apartments are in great condition. Pest control is well maintained and the neighborhood is safe and clean. Even the neighbors are wonderful and kind. I havent met a single neighbor who has been rude. The rent prices are really cheap as well and the apartments are spacious. If youre apartment hunting, highly recommend this place!

please don’t ever get involved here. they will lie to your face when you apply and after that it’s a nightmare, i had successfully gotten an apartment here but broke my lease without even moving in and one day after i got the keys. they are infested with roaches the walls and floors are warped beyond belief and it’s altogether poorly maintained and outdated. i reached out asking to cancel as i never actually moved in and i deemed it was unlivable conditions given i have asthma and roach infestations can cause severe asthma attacks. they said too bad and i had to pay $4000 to escape all without ever actually living there. and when i went to drop off the check a week later the front building had caught fire and burned down four apartments. DONT LIVE HERE!!!

Infested with roaches, staff doesn’t care. This place is just the worst ever. It’s so gross. Dishwasher broke and the maintenance man never showed up after calling. The cockroaches crawl out of the ceiling and everywhere!!! 0/10

Termites are not taken as seriously as I expected. I called to tell them I saw a long termite tunnel from my bathroom ceiling to my tub (I live on the 1st floor). A week went by with no one showing up to inspect or treat. I called again and they “claimed” they scheduled it and did not know why no one came. They scheduled again. Someone came while I was not home they say (and treated just that ONE BATHROOM). I am not a professional but if there signs of termites I would treat the whole apartment or have the whole building inspected. Whatever. 2 days later, we saw a few new termite tunnels on the ceiling of the2nd bathroom (on the opens of the home). I called for that. You know what they said? “May you please inspect the whole apartment and tell us all the places you see signs of termites? Only after then we we schedule a tech to come.” I asked why they do not send their maintenance man or their own pest control guy to inspect. They replied, “We are not trained to know what to look for.” Lol lol And I am?! Wow. I hung up. It has been over 2 weeks now and still no one came to treat for this second sighting and the tunnels are longer. I guess they do not care if termites destroy the foundation of their buildings at Gilbert Square. Terrible.

**Update #3, the final** Finally moved out of this hell hole within the last couple of weeks. This apartment complex is a complete nightmare. My unit didnt have a working KITCHEN (THE ENITRE KITCHEN) FOR 5 MONTHS. And they only came and fixed things when i got a lawyer involved. Its completely roach infested, which come to find out, im highly allergic to german cockroaches... and pest control is contracted to come; and you get charged for it. But i saw the guy on 5 separate occasions skip my entire building, I literally saw him look at my door and then hop in his truck and left. Now after 2 years of not knowing what was wrong with my health( i just got allergy tests done within the last month), i will now need surgery on my sinuses due to the overexposure to roaches at the extent of how bad the infestation was. The buildings are slowly falling apart and they aren't doing anything for it. The last fire at the front of the complex took out 2 units on the top floor that are now condemned by the fire department. All of it being electrical issues and/or the ac/heaters being used and lighting on fire from improper maintenance. DO NOT MOVE HERE!! The office does nothing but lie and try to hide all the issues around the complex. Like the damaged main water pipe underground near the pool and that same pipe going under some of the buildings. Its been leaking for 2 years, and one of the ladies who got fired from the office for TELLING US THE TRUTH about how the complex was worried about sinkholes poping up under the complex next with all the leaks, which was brought up by the apartment management and owner. The city needs to tear this place down. **Update#2**: do yourself a favor, Don't move here. We just had the 5th or 6th fire in under 18 months. This one being the worst of them. If your disabled, do not move here. My mother is non-ambulatory with a missing leg, and they refuse to move us off the second floor. Given all the fires, and general fact; she is a fire hazard to have upstairs. The office however, does not care and would not let us transfer units; even after I brought up ADA and FHA laws stating they needed to do so. This complex needs to be torn down. Its falling apart and is infested. **Original post**: Mailbox has been messed with or mail has been opened or missing on multiple occasions with no contact back from the office at all. Most appliances were broken or leaking when moved in and most still have not been fixed or have been rigged to work for now after 4 months here. Mail was once again messed with and gone through. Government mail has been opened. Will now be going to the post office next since these guys don't want to get back to me for anything and having reports filed. **Update#1 **: 1. MY apartment is completely infested with roaches and they haven't sent pest control by in weeks. I get charged for it on my rent every month but they don't show up. Or when they do show up to bomb it's without notice (which I need for disabled people and animals in the home) and I have no where for everyone in my house to go. 2. Most of the maintenance orders haven't been done or haven't been done properly by actual maintenance workers (the temp workers absolutely love tape and saying things aren't broke when they are). 3. I haven't had a hot shower for more than 4 minutes in the last 2 months due to the waterheater going out and needing to be serviced, and they have yet to take me seriously or send me someone from maintenance that isn't stoned out of their mind or someone telling me to just take "shorter showers". 4. The floor in my bedroom is literally about to give way and the downstairs neighbors confirmed the crack in their ceiling.. so one of these days I'm gonna end up through this floor and into their apartment, and all these guys tell me is that it's completely fine... but you can see the crack bow and get bigger when we walk over it... Do yourself a favor. Don't rent here. And if you are, run. This place is crooked
