- THTed Hewitt4 days ago2.0Stopped in this morning to get a price list, which they don't have. The salesman brought up a home on a computer screen, and proceeded to scroll through the images. I don't know why we didn't walk out and look at the home directly. When I told him I have a certificate of eligibility from the USDA, he proceeds to argue with me that the "USDA doesn't loan money", and wanted to know who my bank was that was going to finance the home. I told him, this isn't a typical backed USDA loan, it's a 502 Direct home loan. But again he says, I've been doing this for forty years, and the USDA doesn't loan money to buy a house, and that I would still need to find a source of financing. I walked out after that and will NEVER step back on that property. I believe his name was Paul.
