After living here, I can honestly say that the biggest disappointment is not the apartments themselves, but the way the management treats its residents. When you are going to sign the lease they are very nice. After that, the lack of communication, guidance, and, above all, compassion is extremely disappointing.
The problems started from my very first month. My first year here. When I moved in, I handed my debit card to the leasing office and specifically told her I want to be enrolled in automatic payments. The employee told me that is ok, but never explained that I had to complete the process myself through an app. They simply assumed I already knew. Because of that lack of guidance, my very first rent payment ended up being one day late, and I was charged a late fee. They eventually waived it because it was my “first time,” but they never acknowledged that the situation resulted from their failure to properly explain the process to a new resident. Not everyone renting an apartment is familiar. I use to leave in my own house. Good management takes the time to guide new residents instead of expecting them to figure everything out on their own.
The last month, after heavy rainstorms, my apartment developed leaks in two areas of my bedroom. My bed was soaked, my white sheets and comforters were ruined, and I had to sleep in my living room for an entire week because my bedroom was unusable. Despite not being able to fully use the apartment I was paying for, I received no rent credit, no compensation. No follow up from management regarding the inconvenience.
What truly changed my opinion of this property happened the beginning of this month July 2026. I have to mention that this is a new lease. My son was involved in a very serious accident. He suffered broken ribs, a punctured lung, and had to undergo surgery to remove part of his damaged lung. During that incredibly difficult time, my focus was entirely on being with him in the hospital and helping him recover. As a result, I paid my rent one day late. July 5th at 11:00 am
I fully acknowledge that the late payment was my responsibility this time. New lease. This should be the right wave. I was not asking them to ignore their policies. I was simply hoping for a little understanding and basic human compassion.
I went to the leasing office with all of my son’s medical documentation to explain the situation. They didn’t even look at it. No one asked how my son was doing. No one expressed any concern or offered a simple “I’m sorry you’re going through this.” The only thing they cared about was collecting the late fee.
That moment made me realize exactly how this management operates: to them, residents are not people they are simply apartment numbers and monthly payments.
Policies are important, and I understand that. However, excellent customer service also requires empathy, respect, and the ability to recognize when someone is facing an extraordinary hardship.
Sadly, this wasn’t an isolated experience. It began with the lack of proper guidance when I first moved in my first year, continued when my apartment became partially uninhabitable because of water leaks, and was confirmed when my son was recovering from emergency surgery and management couldn’t even take a few seconds to look at the medical documentation I brought.
If you are considering moving here, understand that if you ever experience an unexpected hardship, you should not expect understanding or compassion from the management team. My experience has shown me that policies matter far more than people.
I hope this review encourages management to improve not just in enforcing rules, but in treating residents with the respect, professionalism, and humanity they deserve.
