  I would not recommend anyone to buy from Clayton Homes. For 9 months they have given us the round around, for who’s responsible for our issues! They point the finger at the manufacturer and vice versa! Yes they have fixed some of our issues but the photos show the paint job, Clayton Homes says is ok. In our case, Clayton Homes did the trim out so Manufacturer says Clayton is responsible for the inside. We were initially told by Eric, the service manager at the time, that Clayton had an account with Lowe’s. They would get any amount of plastic to cover our personal property so the painting issue would be fixed! 9 months later and the 2nd Service Manager told us that Franklin Homes won’t approve the painting to be fixed??? Um…. We have been told by Clayton Homes & Franklin Homes, that Clayton is responsible for the whole house!! Now, we are stuck with cracks in the corners( shown 2 cracks in pictures) and the caulking around Crown Molding looks like my 2 year old grandson did it! This is not acceptable for a home we paid over $200,000 for!!!The 2nd service manager told my husband that if I wasn’t happy about it to call the GM. When my husband told him he was getting GM ‘s number, Service Manager then said let me talk to him first. Guess what?? He told my husband he didn’t even talk to the GM! Not to mention the communication is nonexistent!! We have had to be the one reaching out about when things are going to be fixed, when & what time are you coming etc… Then they tell you they will be at your house at 10:00 but show up at 11:10!!! My husband then tells Service Manager that I’m going to contact Corporate and he tells him, “ maybe between all of us we can work something out “. So I’m happy to contact Corporate & I will be contacting the BBB. Clayton Homes tells you to make a list for couple of months and they will then fix the issues! They might fix some of the issues but they won’t fix all of them!! I have waited 9 months hoping this would not be how things ended but here we are! Once again be very careful about purchasing a home for Clayton Homes!!

  Came in not really knowing what I wanted or where to start and they were very helpful. Took their time going over my options and seeing exactly what I wanted in my house!

  Not a good experience won't be back. He wouldn't show us anything until we told him what we were looking for and our price limit. Then only showed us 2 one over the top and one cheaply made home.
