DO NOT RENT FROM RENEW BAYSHORE, DEFINITELY NOT WORTH YOUR TIME AND MONEY. I could write 10 pages of what this property management has put us through. Definitely don't deserve a single star.
Lady Pearly at the office never gets anything done, not sure if she's doing her job BECAUSE SHE'S DEFINITELY NOT GETTING ANYTHING DONE BESIDES FROM GETTING COMFORTABLE IN HER HEATED OFFICE.
Back in December 2025 up to around March (extremely cold months) when I had to literally call their office 3-5 times a day to get the heater fixed, HER EXCUSE BACK IN DEC AND JAN WAS "Its the holiday season and its hard to get a spot" (DID NOT CARE HOW COLD IT WAS) I did my research and came to find out there are spots available and the third party HVAC company they work with stated that there was NO REQUEST submitted for my unit AT ALL. HVAC came by and requested a new boiler and I was told "they are looking for cheaper options". was the boiler replaced up till now ? NOPE (now there's gonna be another tenant that will go thru what they put me thru).
Started running space heaters for 3-4 months when temperatures was at the negatives and was told we will talk about reimbursement. Up till now and still chasing them down for reimbursement. They placed me in a temporary unit and so I moved my electric service from my original unit to temporary unit. They then charge me a $50 fee for doing that because I stopped service at my original unit and took over for the temporary unit because I was staying there temporarily.
Asked for reimbursement and also followed up for electric bill reimbursement from running electric heater, UP TILL NOW not a single penny was reimbursed. Even after countless emails and phone calls made to Pearly at the office. She would come up with numerous excuses every time I call or would promised a date reimbursement will be completed and NOTHING WAS DONE. Asked for someone above this Pearly lady and was told "they are not available" "cannot give out their phone numbers" "they will reach out to you" AND NO ONE REACHED OUT TO ME.
Thankfully, there was a maintenance dude that was working in the office that will sometimes get my calls and THANKS TO HIM OUR HEATER CAME BACK ON around late March to Early April FOR ONLY A SHORT PERIOD OF TIME AND IT SHUTS OFF AGAIN. This dude was always on top of every request and would send someone over that actually know what they are doing, SOMETHING MS. PEARLY FAILED TO DO SINCE DEC 2025.
SO GLAD I AM OUT OF THIS PLACE !! PLEASE SAVE YOUR PRECIOUS TIME AND MONEY BY NOT RENTING FROM THESE PEOPLE.
**please do not respond back with lies and actually fix these countless ongoing issues***

They changed the leasing office location without telling potential tenants. It is no longer at the William Jones location.

set up times to tour on 3 separate occasions over the phone with the same lady and got no showed each time. the first time there was absolutely no answer by knocking on the leasing office door or by phone, waited nearly an hour before leaving, and set up a new appointment online. the second time no one answered the door so i called, same lady answered the phone and said no one was at the property to show me and rescheduled me. the third time was the same as the second, but the same lady said "someone was there waiting for you at the leasing office but left", but that was absolutely a lie- i was outside of the door 5 minutes before my appointment and called 10 minutes after my appointment when no one showed- no one came out of that door and would have very clearly seen me. a resident walking by stopped to talk to me while i was waiting and told me their horror stories and to never rent from them. their attitude & disregard is clearly a reflection of their business and renting practices, confirmed by their recent reviews. don't waste your time like i did.

Not a safe place to live and maintenance is less than bare minimum. My hall lights have not worked since January. Had an ice dam leak inside the wall. Never opened it up or dried anything out.

Renew Bayshore falsely claimed multiple statements, which I can now address publicly since I am no longer a resident. I have attached photos documenting Renew Bayshore staff entering our apartment on multiple occasions without proper notice, as well as having videos of staff making threatening and retaliatory statements following a review we posted four months earlier.
In December, we made complaints regarding the lack of carbon monoxide monitors. In March, management entered our apartment without notice while I was at work. Because other tenants had recently experienced break-ins and no notice had been provided to us, we believed someone was unlawfully entering our home and called the police. When police and I arrived, staff had fled the scene despite other tenants in the area claiming they had an appointment scheduled with staff during this time.
After we filed the police report, management issued us a lease violation notice. I have video evidence of staff stating that the notice was issued solely due to the fact we contacted the police when we believed our home was being broken into.
When I went to the office to ask about the notice, the regional manager, office manager, and property manager escalated the situation further. During that conversation, the regional manager stated he was “excited” to send me a cease and desist over the Google review I posted back in December. That interaction is also documented on video. After this interaction I also received a nasty email from the property manager, threatening another lease violation. No additional lease violation or cease and desist were ever sent to us. In other words, renew was using their position as landlords to threaten us.
The retaliation continued in April, when management again entered our apartment without notice. We called the police again to inform them of the breakin. Renew Bayshore did not issue a lease violation following April’s break in.
In addition, Renew Bayshore has been issued code violations but in their previous responses to me they have claimed that code violations were due to tenant noncompliance or refusal of entry. However, that claim is inconsistent with the facts:
1. We were not home when police were called, and we have never refused entry. We genuinely believed our apartment had been unlawfully entered and called police immediately (as recommended by lease).
2. The original complaint we made regarding missing carbon monoxide monitors was made in December of 2025, yet the unauthorized entries and retaliatory actions occurred months later, in March and April of 2026. We were told by the fire department that Renew did not have any CO monitors within any of the garages where we were renting at the time.
In addition to all of these issues and unprofessional conduct by Renew, this neighborhood is dirty and they refuse to do upkeep of the neighborhood.
Despite threats of legal action from the regional manager over my Google review, I will continue exercising my right as a consumer to share my experience. In my opinion, the actions taken by Renew Bayshore management were retaliatory, unprofessional, and unacceptable. Do not rent here, but if you do, remember you as a consumer are allowed to voice your experience. Read and understand the rights you have as a tenant and customer.
Attached are failed inspection of garage, individuals who entered with out notice and Renew’s response in which they try to dodge and lie about timelines.
