My friend and I applied for an apartment here and they led us to believe we were accepted and asked us to go ahead and pay a $375 security deposit. I mean, usually you don’t pay a deposit unless you got the place right? They denied us at the last minute because of credit reasons and insisted we find a co-signer who makes 5x the rent and perfect credit. Absolutely ridiculous. We asked for our deposit to be refunded to us and they told us that it is “company policy” to hold it for 30 days before refunding it back to the card. There is absolutely no good explanation as to why these people need to hold my money for 30 days. We are being treated like we inconvenienced them for being denied so therefore our money is being withheld. It has been over 30 days now and we still have NOT seen the money. This has been such a hassle because we are constantly trying to get on the phone with them and attempt to relay messages to a manager who we have yet to speak with. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME UNLESS YOU WANT TO HAGGLE ABOUT GETTING MONEY BACK!! NOT WORTH IT!!
