Now I'm out, make less, and they straight up told us they can't adjust the price saying "I never said that". My wife and sister in law called them out on their lies, but they didn't budge saying we'd have to live here for at least 2 years before moving into another unit for cheaper rent. LAME! Honestly I do like living here, it's a cozy little spot and generally quiet. I just don't appreciate the malarkey we just went through.

Upon arrival, I was not greeted by neither leasing agent in the office. The leasing agent, with blonde hair, who conveniently forgot to mention her name, continued to engage in a meaningless conversation with two non-people of color as they were already being helped. She did not greet me at all. I felt as if she was being vague with information on purpose. Instead of simply stating that the community is smoke and pet free, she asked if smoking and no pets would be a problem.. Obviously hoping that it would be. I am a college graduate, a non-smoker, works full time, and is willing to pay. Therefore I should have been treated with more respect, and not be prejudiced against. Apparently, there is 1800 people interested in and waitlisted for this property, yet online on their website, it shows units are available now. Which is why I drove 30 minutes to get information, because they do not call back at all. I am glad that I did experience this discrimination because I connected with another leasing agent in Duncanville who went above and beyond during the application process!
