  What made me first decide to move to this apartment complex was the fact that it was in a good area, updated, I liked the walking paths/outdoor scenery, and also management was friendly. However, I have been highly disappointed with my experience thus far. For the past month it has been a battle to get hot water in my apartment, which should be a basic necessity without question. I have put in numerous work orders, just for them to keep trying to replace small parts on my water heater that don’t even work (or work for a day or two) and I am left with cold water. It is very upsetting and frustrating for me to have to work a 12-14 hour shift and come home and not even be able to take a hot shower after a long days work. I have been forced to go over to family/friends home for me and my son to take a shower. As much money as I pay a month, and it is a lot, I shouldn’t have to be going through this just because the apartment complex wants to be cheap and not replace things when it’s time and they are no longer functioning. I do understand they have to go through a process of replacing small items first before doing bigger purchases but this has been ridiculous. I am writing this with the hopes that the owner sees this and makes adjustments to better the apartment complex so that no one else has to go through this.

  I absolutely love this property. It’s nice and quiet with plenty of room to walk the dog. The women in the front office are very welcoming and helpful with any information I’ve needed. The apartment itself is sizeable and comfortable.

  I have lived at The Colony apartments for over 4 years. I have never had any major maintenance issues and any problems I had were always addressed professionally and in a timely manner. The manager Tammy is always helpful and understanding of any issues that might come up and is always willing to go above and beyond to help you.

  I moved from Houston to Victoria and I contacted “ The colony” and spoke with Tammy, she got me into an amazing apartment within a few days. Which was perfect, since I only had a week to move down before I started my job. I have been here for two years now and it has been nothing but amazing from the management and maintenance. Management has always been great to me especially Tammy. She even went out her way and looked out for my mail when I was recovering from heart surgery last summer. I highly recommend living here and it’s conveniently located as well.
