Everyone in the staff is amazing! From Valery, to Jorge, to Leila, and Palas, everyone made me feel comfortable, answered all my questions, and help facilitate my moving process. I love where I live, very nice, clean, friendly neighbors. Would recommend.
The staff sold my personal information (name social birthdate etc) about a month after I moved out to a different state. I suddenly had SEVEN electric accounts for properties local to the abbey I had no association with. Unfortunately you cannot rent without giving this information so I would stay away from this building and their management at all costs. It took police and lawyers to investigate all this over months of time.

Me and my husband lived here for 2 years. We fell in love with the townhomes layout and square footage along with the beautiful green spaces on property.
Pros
- The location and green spaces of the property are lovely. The lake and walking trails are well maintained.
- Pallas at the leasing office is delightful and the only person within the property management team that is considerate and understanding.
- The actual maintenance team is well managed and does their best given the directives of management.
- Floorplan of the townhomes. That much square footage and a garage are hard to come by in traditional apartment complexes.
Cons
- Everything is broken all of the time - from the in unit washer and dryers (which we had 5 maintenance requests for our dryer because it took up to 3 cycles to dry and management refused to replace it with a new model) to the amenities like the gyms and elevators.
- Property management. With the exception of Pallas, the staff is unhelpful and very obviously does not care about its residents.
- Billing. We had our payments on autopay for the majority of our stay. We decided to renew our lease for a second year due to us not wanting to move. The month of our renewal the autopay only charged for the prorated amount of the remaining portion of our previous lease, leaving the second half of the month unpaid. Management is aware that this is an existing issue. Therefore you would think that they would maybe give a call or an email letting people whose lease is renewing in the month know that they have to make 2 payments…but no. They put a “Notice to Evict” due to non payment on our door. We went to the leasing office to get this figured out and they it was and issue with the auto pay and that we needed to set up a separate autopay for our new lease. Fine. We made the payment and then had the leasing team themselves remove the previous autopay and make a new one. Guess what happened in the subsequent month? The did not properly delete the previous autopay and we got DOUBLE BILLED for rent. On the 2nd of the month (1 DAY LATER) I noticed this in my bank account and went to the office. They told me there is not a single thing they can do to reverse the second payment due to the billing system they use and that I could either apply it to next months rent or wait something like 60 days for a refund. They gave me a number for someone at their regional office to call and discuss. I called him 3 times with no answer. After about 2 weeks of trying to get our money back we gave up. Thankfully me and my husband are in a good enough place financially to be able to swing this, however, many people are not.
Overall, this place has some nice features and things that drew us in when signing. However, in my opinion, those are not in any way worth dealing with the disinterested, unhelpful and frankly rude property management (Pallas excluded). Renters beware.
Pallas and Leila and also Danielle who is now at a new property, have made my last few years here amazing! I mean it, the level of personability and prophessionalism and kindness. Well, that and beautiful way they keep this property is the reason I’m here 4 years and signing up for a fifth!

Palas made my entire leasing process so easy! Every time I see her, she’s incredibly kind, patient, and genuinely helpful. She goes above and beyond to make sure everything is taken care of and that you feel at home from day one. You can tell she really cares about the residents here. Honestly, this girl deserves a raise — people like her make The Abbey on Lake Wyndemere such a great place to live!
