  Big kudos to John at Grand Stonecreek Apartments — this guy is the real MVP when it comes to maintenance! Every time something comes up, John is on it fast, professional, and with a great attitude. You can tell he knows his stuff and takes pride in his work.

  So far I have lived here for 6 months, and I will say this is one of the best place's I have ever lived at in San Marcos. The location of the complex is very convenient, and the people who live around is very respectful. They keep the complex very litter free, and the grass nice and cut for my dogs. The employees who work at the complex is very nice and quick with helping us out. I almost always go to Jacob (one of the employees) and he is very respectful, honest, and will help with any issue I have had and the other employee's are the exact same way. The worker's are out grinding and fixing things day of placing a maintenance order or the day after. The trash system is very convenient and easy to work around. Having people consistently pick up trash 5/7 of the days really helps keep the complex from ever smelling bad. That along with their 2 convenient dumpsters they keep around is magnificent. When me and my girlfriend were looking at this apartment we were worried at first that it may not have enough grass for our dogs. That is not a worry at all, they have a nice size dog park in the middle and plenty of area's along the side and in-between complexes to even let your dog run around if you want! They even have a little dog spa near the park incase if you ever want to wash your dog or in my case they like to roll around in things. It really feels like a true apartment complex and feels like they want you to stay for more than just the one year. Highly recommended!

  Admittedly I have only been living here for roughly 2 months, but coming from student apartments, this is definitely an upgrade. Front desk staff is always communicative and helpful. I had a lot of questions during the leasing process (I am one of those people that likes to be 101% certain of everything) and the staff, especially Kayla, never made me feel like a nuisance. They helped us find a unit that met my needs caused by my disabilities. Granted there were some maintenance reports we had to put in upon move in, such as the outdoor lightbulb not working and the surface light on the microwave not working, but they were all fixed in a timely manner. There are also other minor details that came with the apartment that I was able to correct on my own, like the shower head being kinda sucky (I opted for buying one and just replacing the existing one), but if you are that nitpicky you will never be satisfied. The complex never stinks, which is a big plus, and the valet trash service actually collects trash, not like in other places where they never come. Sometimes you will smell the tortillas being made in the factory nearby, but maybe it's because I am Latina but I do not mind that at all, in fact I really like it LOL. For being in front of the train tracks, you really don't feel it/hear it, which is a big plus. The mail/package system is very straight forward and reliable, I have thankfully never experienced my package being stolen. My roommate and I did get a deal on our rent, so I do not know if other's rent is as affordable as ours, but for a 2 bedroom it is a really good price. I do have to admit that I have not really used the amenities at all, so I can't comment on that. Overall, I really like this place and I have felt very comfortable, satisfied, and safe.
