  I had a disappointing experience . The manager Chelsea was giving me attitude the entire time. They came across as rude and dismissive instead of being helpful. Customer service is really important, and I did not feel respected during our conversation at all it’s really sad the way the handle things .

  This review is long but it’s my honest review and informative: Price is affordable but you definitely get what you pay for. The only good I can really say is the convenience of the location. And the staff has gotten a little bit better with their communication via email about issues. Now to the bad- Initial glance at building(s) from my parking lot, you’ll see visibly smoke stained blinds, and broken/destroyed blinds, and some balconies filled with personal belongings. Boiler for buildings 1-8Q is broken down pretty much monthly and buildings will go days without hot water, if the water is even on and working at that. (Boiler was down again 3/28/26 and working by 1pm on 3/30/26). You’re lucky if the gym has functional equipment, there’s 2 treadmills currently in there are warped and dangerous to use as it’s a major tripping hazard but the apartment staff leaves it like that. The front gate only worked for a week out of the 2 years or so I’ve been here, but it’s a “gated community”. Cars constantly broken into and abandoned here, I notified the staff of an abandoned truck that had been sitting for months, and they had a tow truck move it to the corner of the same parking lot, which I found to be ridiculous, this was reported August 1st 2025 and that truck is STILL there which is frustrating with limited parking spots, parking lots get almost if not completely fill up towards the evening times, I will say there are parking spots surrounding the edge of the complex though, it’s just far. The disappointing part of this is I used to live here when I got my very first apartment and I used to love it so I came back and it was so regrettable, if I could leave I would.. Oh and they say every time the boiler breaks down that they’re “actively fixing it” which I understand, but you would think that at a certain point they would replace the boiler or something instead of just constantly “fixing” it as it impacts the people living here, I know it’s expensive but it’s beyond inconsiderate at this point and not okay. It’s hard not to get frustrated with the staff but it’s really not their fault because at the end of the day, it’s the OWNERS who are severely lacking with the care of this apartment complex and they need to do better. Either the staff needs to get on with asking for authorization for these big items or the owners need to give the go ahead…

  I went for a tour earlier this week, a nice lady Annabella gave me the tour for the unit I was interested in. She was very informative and nice to me, with all my questions since it is my first time getting an apartment. Wonderful staff and a pretty nice complex!

  Chelsea is an amazing manager. She really goes above and beyond to take care of your needs. She’s very attentive and responsive. Her customer service is top notch!

  Christine, Chelsea, Billy, and Anabella are an amazing team. I have been living at this complex since 2020 and they are without a doubt the best Sunset Canyon has had to offer. In the transfer process they made thing simple and easy setting me up for success with moving into my new apartment. The maintenance crew is really good at getting to the tickets sent out and come in a timely manner. With all the good being said the team are the ones deserving of the 5 stars. The owners at Sunset Canyon have to do better with giving them more to work with in order to get this place to where it could/should be. Seems like the owners don't care to set their team up for success as much as the team does for the tenants, its unfortunate with all the team has to deal with. To the OWNERS of Sunset Canyon do better for you are 2 stars, your team is doing great though, that's the only thing that is going for you. P.S. Fix the Gates already Owners. Been here for 5 years and you still cant find the budget to make this "Gated Community" an actual Gated community.
