I’ve had a great experience living here so far. The management team is very friendly, easy to talk to, and does a great job keeping up with residents’ needs even with how busy they are. When I first moved in, I had a few concerns, including an outdated dishwasher and a light fixture that wasn’t as expected. Both were replaced quickly, and I really appreciated how seriously they took those requests even though they weren’t emergency’s.
The maintenance team also deserves recognition , they respond promptly and make sure issues are taken care of as soon as possible. Overall, I feel well taken care of here and appreciate the effort the staff puts into the community. They even host resident events for majority of holidays, It’s been a very positive place to live.

I have lived at the Abby at medical since 2006. The majority of the staff have always been very helpful. Sometimes other residents work projects took priority over mine, but, needing paint on a door as opposed to someone’s heat or ac going out caused me to wait a bit longer. I learned a saying that I try to go by. You don’t sweat the small stuff. It does get done. But I do remind them so I’m not forgotten
All in all my experience in almost 20 years here has been mostly enjoyable. There have been bumps in the road but they were small and quickly overcome. Normally maintenance has been helpful. Sometimes it takes a little time. But, like I said before, don’t sweat the small stuff. The work got done. When it was major maintenance they came out promptly
Communication is the key. Using it I’ve been able be happy during my almost 20 year stay. I just renewed my lease. That’s got to tell you something
I want to be fair, during my first two years living here, management was actually great. Anthony in particular was always helpful, easy to reach, and made sure concerns were communicated and handled in a timely manner with just a simple phone call. Unfortunately, things changed later on. Even renewing my lease became difficult, requiring multiple follow ups just to receive the renewal documents. That lack of organization carried over into more serious issues. I dealt with ongoing plumbing problems where hot water was continuously running for weeks despite multiple maintenance requests. Because the hot water was constantly running, I often had to take cold showers just to avoid worsening the issue. The problem wasn’t properly fixed for a long time and even reoccurred when I moved out. As a result, my electric bill more than doubled. After continued poor communication and unresolved concerns, I decided to take the risk of terminating my lease based on my understanding of tenant rights and Texas Property Code. When I turned in my keys, management showed no concern or interest in understanding why I was terminating my lease and instead immediately stated that I would be billed a termination fee. There was no attempt to review the situation or the history of unresolved issues. This really summed up my experience with their customer service l, emails went unread, mailed letters weren’t accepted, messages through the resident app went unanswered, and calling usually resulted in “we’ll look into it,” with no follow up or actually resolving the issue. Aside from management, my neighbors were great, and that was one of the positives of living here. If you’re considering properties under The Abbey, I’d recommend looking into their other locations, as they seem to be managed much better. I’m sharing this so others can make an informed decision, no one should have to go through this level of stress due to poor management.
