Me and my husband have been living here for about a month and haven’t had a single regret about moving here! The area is quiet and the apartments are very nice (even the classic units!). If there’s a problem the maintenance crew is on top of it, being sure to come within a few hours of your maintenance request. Not to mention that management really cares about the renters! I had a heavy package delivered (120lbs) to my apartment while my husband was away at work and the fedex guy just left it at the bottom of the stairs, so I went to the leasing office to see if anyone could help me bring it up the stairs, well a little while later the guy from the office shows up and hauls that heavy and awkward package up two flights of stairs by himself and made sure to get it to my door!!! Color me impressed, this place is worth every penny and makes me feel very well taken care of. This is the best first apartment experience I could’ve asked for! Thank you Sunset Canyon!

I stayed at Sunset Canyon for about 2 years, from late 2022-early 2025. It wasn’t the worst experience ever but I wouldn’t necessarily recommend it either. The prevailing issues I noticed were cheap appliances and fixtures, poor maintenance, considerable interior damage (cracked front doorframe, moisture damage, flooring peeling) and most of all, abysmal resident service. If you want to have any shot of reaching the leasing office you literally have to call before after breakfast, before and after lunch break, and right after you get off a regular day shift because God knows if they’d even pick up, let alone return a phone call (unless you owed them some obscure/vague billing expense). I’d note they’re pretty ruthless with pricing as well. You’d think they’d cut you a deal if you’re renewing a lease but they’d rather offer you a shoddy renovation that you didn’t ask for with an extra $200 charge on rent for it. Communication was incredibly frustrating; I’d be told contradicting things from different leasing agents and many problems seemed to be conveniently “outside of their control”. On the bright side they did tend to be pleasant to talk to, especially this one guy Alex. He was always helpful. The good things about it was the parking abundance, the foliage, and the gym and pools were well kept from what I recall. None of the issues were serious impediments on my stay there but I definitely don’t think it was a quality stay considering how much they charged for rent in light of all the flaws.

The company contracts with a towing company that can come on property and tow cars that they deem over a line in parking areas. They have handicaps spaces but no ramps to get to the apartments. The sidewalk in some areas are rising up. They have no walk in showers

Lived there for three years. My truck lights had been stolen multiple times, and my truck had been broken into. I was only told to provide them with the police report number; nothing else was ever done. Within the three years of living there, the gates have been closed ONCE for like two days.. And ONLY because someone got shot and killed. Our AC unit would not work well during summers despite putting in work orders. At one point, they had mandatory pest control for most units because they continuously have roach infestations. Water used to be shut off frequently as well. Overall would not recommend living here unless you NEED a short/less expensive option.

I have lived here since late 2021, my lease does not end until 2026. My car was just broken into yesterday, they were trying to steal my car but they couldn’t because I have a push to start ignition. This definitely could have been prevented, so could other vandalism/theft of vehicles if the gate worked. The property never fixes the gate, why do we pay for a gated community?? Sometimes they will get the gate working for a few days but then it breaks again. At this point they need an entire new system. Genuinely, where is our money going?? The residents here aren’t upset enough about this to be honest. We should be.
