I have had an extremely disappointing experience with Pulte Homes and their failure to fulfill the contract we entered into over a year ago.
This was our first home, which in today’s market is no small accomplishment. We worked hard to qualify, save, and commit to this purchase, trusting that a national builder would honor their obligations. That trust was misplaced.
We were rushed through closing, treated dismissively by the individual overseeing the signing, and pressured to proceed without all agreed-upon repairs being completed. To this day, multiple items that were contractually selected and promised have still not been honored or delivered.
I have spoken with numerous representatives within the company, including:
• Josh (Warranty)
• Jared (Construction Manager at the time for the Bison Ridge development)
• Chris (Sales Representative)
• Chris’s supervisor
What became alarmingly clear is that there is little to no communication between sales, construction, warranty, and mortgage teams. This disconnect was openly acknowledged and accompanied by an attitude that conveyed indifference toward homeowners once the sale was finalized. The lack of professionalism, accountability, and basic care was staggering.
Despite repeated attempts to resolve these issues internally, and multiple internal reviews submitted, nothing meaningful has changed. The experience feels like smoke and mirrors, with customer service ending the moment documents are signed.
Buying a home should be a joyful, affirming milestone. Instead, this process has been disheartening, stressful, and deeply frustrating.
If you are considering purchasing a home through Pulte, I strongly advise you to reconsider. For the amount of money involved, buyers deserve responsiveness, transparency, respect, and, at minimum, a builder who fulfills their contracts. Unfortunately, that has not been our experience.

It is the most useless builder in the US
Terrible experience
First they missed out the structural change we paid
Secondly very bad after sales support
The electric wiring issue 2 years
The roof flanks came off in 6 months
They failed to replace said it was due to wind and we are responsible
Overall completely very bad experience
Please ovoid this builder any cost!!!

Pulte homes were extremely professional with some of the best customer service we have experienced, and we have worked in the customer experience world for over 25 years. Not only did we get an amazingly beautiful home, but we had an amazing team to work with throughout the entire process.
We have been in our Pulte home for 8 years and wanted to give our experience with James Donahoo, the Senior Customer Care Manager.
James was truly a dedicated and hard working Manager for Pulte. During a time when we were having foundation issues James was our main source of contact. He understood that our 2 year old daughter had gone through 4 rounds of chemo and just had a liver transplant and was immunocompromised so he took extreme precautions. James made sure workers coming to our home were following strict protocols to keep our daughter safe in our home while it gets worked on. For that we are truly grateful for him.
He never ignored a text, call and concern too small regarding our home. Simple questions were answered and it’s because of James that Pulte is getting a 5 star rating. When you have someone like James that puts the homeowner’s concerns first and goes above and beyond for them, Pulte should be grateful for having an employee like him.
8 years later and we’re still texting James about our house and he’s still responding. If it wasn’t for him I’m sure we would’ve been so frustrated and moved. We’ve had all our questions and concerns about our home answered and dealt with by James. Pulte should be lucky they have a dedicated employee like him that really excels at his job.

I want to share how great my experience was with James Donahoo, the Senior Customer Care Manager who helped me with my Pulte home in Converse, TX. I had foundation issues, and James guided me through everything.
With my husband passing away and having to handle all of this on my own, it was scary and overwhelming. James made the process so much easier. He always took the time to explain what was happening, what to expect, and what I needed to do. He made sure I understood everything and never made me feel alone in the process.
James was always honest, kind, patient, and quick to respond. Because of him, I felt I could trust Pulte to take care of my home. He is a big reason why I would recommend Pulte to my friends and family and why I would buy another Pulte home in the future.
Pulte’s leadership should know what an outstanding employee James is. He truly made a difference during a very difficult time for me.
