  My 3rd home is Financed with Flagstar and I hate it. The payment process is the worst for me. Any early payments are sent to escrow and not applied to your mortgage. They only take full payments to apply to loan, even if it's before the due date. That's a lot of money coming out at one time and can cause financial hardship. As long as payments are not past due, you should be able to break them up as you see fit.

  Think carefully when you work with them.This is the worst bank system I’ve ever been. Especially the web for home loan payment. I think I was unlucky to be their customer.

  My house in TX flooded on Nov 4. I sent all required documentation to Flagstar (including insurance claim check, adjusters report, contractors estimate and documentation). It’s now December 10th and they are still processing my claim - so they won’t release the funds. I had to get the cleanup efforts started out of my own funds because there was mold in the house. I am now $21k in repairs and Flagstar doesn’t seem to mind. Last two times I called they told me they’re so busy they’ll take my information and call me back. I am so frustrated I am now looking at taking legal action. STAY AWAY FROM THEM!!!
