I was hospitalized much of February 2026. I passed out in my apartment and was taken to MC Lewisville, dehydrated with deep tissue injuries to my feet from rhabdomyolysis. Found (by management) after my grocery order hadn't been brought in for several days, I fell behind with my rent in February, during my 3rd lease renewal. Management declined to work with me on a repayment plan, though I've paid market rent of $1,600+ for over 3 years. I was to come up with $3,600+ on 4/1 and 800 every two weeks thereafter. I didn't dispute what I owe. Bethany, (Allure Life's) up and coming star, insisted that I'm not capable of affording rent and that I needed to vacate by April 4th or be evicted. She quipped, that I could lease another apartment 'virtually'. My credentials were then blocked on the portal, with no access to my lease and payment ledger. I needed both to apply for rent assistance. Prior to this, I'd waited for nearly a year to have a roof leak along with other maintenance requests resolved. Repairs were finally made in 10/2025, just prior to my most recent lease renewal. One of my neighbor's left last spring. My apartment number, rather than his was mistakenly given to Denton County Precinct 3, to be served for eviction. Got it straightened out after several phone calls though I never received an apology from management. My apartment reeks of cigarette smoke despite signing the annual non-smoking addendum. Should you have scripts delivered, follow delivery to the minute. Go barefoot while attempting to track them down and you may find yourself reported to the office, prompting an urgent apartment wide email message. This will mean something to someone. Pets go barefoot, FFS! The one time I'd requested a medical ride, I got a response after the fact, stating their driver was unavailable. Many, though not all, have subsidized rent which is fine, though in fairness, how about some fairness? I’ve paid community fees for years for services never used. Subsidized or not, it's best to consider your options. If you don't comply, it can get ugly quickly. Why so many details? Without them would you have believed this? They're currently offering 10 weeks off upon lease signing.

UPDATE: My prior review was updated to 5 stars, and I have left the original review below. However, since Allure took over management, this place has gone downhill quick. All the staff that actually cared about the residents are gone, and there is one property manager who seems to be doing below the bare minimum. After losing consistent transportation, outings, and events, not fixing safety issues that have been going on for months, and seeming to run off or fire all the prior caring staff, the breaking point for the review change was a notice sent that trash pickup will not be made available while someone is on vacation and residents will be fined if they try to use trash receptacles or leave trash out. Seriously, this is a community for SENIORS. How many "active 55+" communities do not have mobility-challenged residents who are unable to maneuver trash bags with a walker or other device to a dumpster located in the far corner of the property?
After 10 years of my mom absolutely loving this place, she is now calling it a dump and I can't wait to get her somewhere else. There are too many beautiful, well-run "active adult" communities in the near vicinity at the same price point to consider moving here. Run from this leasing office as fast as you are able to.
ORIGINAL REVIEW: My mom has lived here for several years and through several owners. As Haven, it has been very well-run and I'm very impressed! She has loved it, and much of that is thanks to the efforts of Nick, the social coordinator extraordinaire. He puts together great outings, social events, and all the residents- my mom included- love him. He was a key reason her move to Texas and away from her home of 60 years was an easy one.
Overall this is a great place for seniors. When I first walked in I never felt a senior citizen vibe- it felt vibrant. I hope she’s there for many more years.
The only thing that is missing is electric doors at the entrance to make it perfect!

We just had to have repair service and it was great. Our fire alarm went off and within a couple of hours, Jerome was at our apartment and he placed new batteries in all of the alarms. For such a minor thing, he treated it very seriously. He did the same thing when we first moved in. We had a minor repair that needed taken care of and he had it completed within a couple of hours. Very Pleased!!!
