- PPplv702Jan 30, 20241.0We purchased a home from Clayton Homes almost 2 years ago. Originally, I left them a good review at the beginning, which makes sense they need to sell homes. After a few month of owning the property, we did have issues with rain leakage coming from the doors that they tried to fix without success. So we called Clayton Homes to come back but we were ingnored. We also had the ac go out in the middle of the summer, and it took over a month to get it fixed. So far, what I learned from this experience with Clayton Homes is they do the minimum to keep their customers happy until the customer gives up or their warranty runs out. Also, make sure to ask exactly what work is included with the purchase of the home cause you may get charged twice by their plumbing or electrical contractors. They asked me if I wanted to pay $1500 for plumbing, and then one day, a plumber showed up to install the plumbing under the home. I asked him if the plumbing was included with the home, and he responded yes.
