I moved into my apartment without being able to see it beforehand, and unfortunately, it smelled like smoke on move-in day. Management did agree to re-clean, but the odor persisted, so I’d strongly recommend asking to view your exact unit before signing a lease.
This complex offers basic amenities but not an upscale or serene atmosphere. There are newer communities nearby with slightly higher rents worth considering, but if you’re budget-conscious, this property may still work well.
The front gates are frequently broken, though I never felt unsafe. Maintenance response times and work quality are fair—I’d rate them around a C+. The community is family-friendly with lots of children playing outside, which does create some noise.
Valet trash service runs five nights a week for $30/month, but hallway trash odors and occasional pest issues can occur when tenants leave cans out or pickups are missed.
The property is very pet-friendly, which is a plus for animal lovers. The leasing office welcomes pets and offers treats. However, expect barking, unleashed pets, and some owners neglecting to clean up after their animals.
A major advantage is its location in Keller, one of the safest cities in Texas, and proximity to strong public schools, with school buses picking up directly inside the community.
If you work from home, I’d recommend Spectrum Internet; OneSource has been unreliable and possibly now defunct, and other providers like T-Mobile and Verizon Home Wi-Fi aren’t available at the time of my review.
Finally, rent does increase with each renewal due to “supply and demand,” so keep this in mind if you’re on a tight or fixed income.
