We moved our youngest into Midtown this past August and I have to say, I am impressed so far. The manager went above and beyond to make sure my daughter was able to move in a couple of days early due to a scheduling conflict. Everything that she has called maintenance for has been fixed within 24 hours. The complex is clean and well maintained. It seems very safe so far. The roommate matching app helped her find a roommate that fits her. As of right now, we fully intend on renewing her lease until she is done at SHSU.

Midtown Apartments is a great place is love, especially for college students. It is close to the freeway and only about 5 minutes from campus. I love the layout of the rooms and it is spacious for two people. Maintenance is also pretty quick at coming if needed.

I signed a 14-month lease with Midtown. I was never really home worked two jobs and then on top of that class. I was a normal resident who didn't do anything out of the ordinary. I had multiple problems with the midtown staff. First I had to move in with random roommates because I signed a longer lease. The roommates believed that someone was going into their rooms and didn't think it was me but they thought they had a stalker and set cameras up in the places we shared. Midtown didn't help with that. Came home after working a double from work and I was locked out of my bedroom (BY MIDTOWN), didn't get home until 1 a.m. after work someone didn't let me back in until 2 a.m.-2:25 a.m. I obviously was upset about that and let the girl who let me in know about it,.The next day I got a phone call about how I was cursing at her wasn't okay. Never happened that is extremely out of my character. Our disposal was always broken after multiple maintenance requests and never worked. We would have water and food sitting in our sink. When my actual roommates moved in we ended up having one random. She would smoke weed in her room, I would have to go to other people's houses just to sleep. I can't handle the smell of it. Told Midtown nothing was done about this. We had fleas in our apartment, my roommate would have an allergic reaction to the bites. It took multiple phone calls and appointments to get someone in there to get help. (not fully Midtown's fault). Think I was finished nope. My car got towed went to the office to get a new parking pass was told I had the right one a week later my car got towed. 300 bucks to get my car back called midtown and told them that one of there staff members said I had the right one, they didn't do anything about it. I had multiple fines on my account at the end the lease I called and asked them what it was and they went on the rant never signed up for any of it. I paid my rent and I had my own renters insurance. How I had late fines for stuff I didn't sign up for is beyond me. Lastly 470 bucks in damages, I will say I messed up the carpet and misplaced my mail key. But everything else is ridiculous I had to pay for a bed... How does a person even mess up a bed. My time at midtown was horrible, for my so called home midtown yall made it feel nothing that way. I would do anything so I wouldn't have to be home. I never speak up about being miss treated I do not like confrontation, in fact this is my first time ever doing it. I emailed y'all a week ago about damages and I'm sure I'm going to get a faster response with this review.

New apartments which is always nice, but with new apartments comes multiple problems that can easily be fixed if maintenance actually came to fix them. The workers at Midtown are very helpful, but the manager Phillip, personally is under qualified for this position. His tone in his voice comes off as he doesn’t care and I constantly have to call or go up there for different problems. The application that you fill out when signing your lease might as well not exists because they don’t pair you up like they say they do. I would just say great apartments, horrible management.
