I’ve been extremely disappointed with the maintenance at this apartment complex. My kitchen sink was clogged, and when maintenance came to fix it, they made the situation even worse. Water started leaking everywhere and spread across my hall. The maintenance guy said he would request cleaners to come and take care of it, but no one showed up the entire night. The dirty water seeped under my carpet, creating an even bigger mess. When I went to the leasing office to report it, all they said was that they “noted it” and that plumbing and cleaning would come based on the order in their system — no urgency, no concern. This is absolutely ridiculous, especially because this is the second time in two months something like this has happened. A couple of months ago, they were doing drainage work outside, and the entire drainage backed up into my restroom. Maintenance came, mopped up quickly, and left — and again, I had to clean the entire bathroom myself. The lack of professionalism, poor response time, and repeated negligence are unacceptable. This has been one of the worst maintenance experiences I’ve ever had. I do not recommend this place to anyone looking for a well-maintained and responsibly managed apartment community.

I wanted to wait to leave a honest review. I am new to Houston and Village on the Parkway was my first apartment here. I lived there from September 2024-August 2025. Maintenance is friendly and quick and landscaping is kept up to par. I’ve only had to go to the office a few times so I can’t speak on office staff except for Alondra she helped me with move in and she was really nice and knowledgeable. I kept a clean place, it was literally just me no kids pets, etc so no excuses right lol but I still experienced a few roaches but I wouldn’t say an infestation. It was quiet and I lived right in the front by the gate. For me the apartments are so dated the walls were cracking bad and big holes in the walls that they covered poorly and I didn’t notice until months later. Also I’m not sure if they use spray paint on their countertops or what that is but its very sticky and anything you put on your countertops will bleed on them and very hard to come out I literally forgot I had a Kroger bag on the counter and it took me forever to get the word Kroger from on the countertop. I was actually thinking about transferring to a different unit I thought would look better but it just still wasnt giving what I needed it to give these apartments are just too old for me couldn’t see myself paying another high deposit and I think my rent was going up to $1560 which wasn’t too bad for two bedrooms and garage but I decided to move somewhere nicer newer and more affordable with $0 deposit option. I’m sure if they totally renovated rent would increase, But depending on your budget these are affordable The garage was very nasty when I got it don’t think they cleaned it at all before renting it out, and the doors and balcony could definitely use some paint and washing .The refrigerator stove and microwave look like it could have been there since they first built it. I didn’t see the inside until move in day but I made it work while living there. Another perk is it’s close to everything. The apartments are over 30 years old some things are to be expected. Take what you want from this review everyone experience is different but I look at reviews and like to share my experiences and hope it helps someone. Overall not bad some good renovations would be great though!!
