Absolutely love Tower 5040! The community is beautiful, the amenities are great, and the staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. Everything is well maintained and it truly feels like a place you’re proud to call home. Easy 5/5

I just wanted to say Maddie truly does an amazing job of running this complex! She checks in on all the residents and helps to quickly resolve any issues. Huge shoutout to everyone else as well!!

I think the appliances and furniture are nice, the staff are extremely friendly. I like how they accommodate to each person’s concerns especially during the leasing process. I enjoyed my stay here

Out of my 2 years living at Tower I’ve had a great experience. The staff is extremely helpful and welcoming and I love the events and free food they have for residents. It is one of the best off campus housing options because of how close it is to campus, making it easier to be around other students and classes. One of the only downsides is some residents leave their trash outside instead of taking it to the trash chute, leaving a smell in the hallways. Overall, I’ve had a great experience at Tower 5040!
One week ago, on January 24, maintenance entered my son’s room to investigate a water leak coming from the neighboring unit. They removed his bathroom sink cabinet and discovered that the wall behind it was drenched and covered in black mold.
Since then, there have been a couple of follow-up visits, a carpet cleaning, and the placement of a fan and humidifier. However, the sink unit is still sitting in the middle of his bathroom, making the bathroom completely unusable. The carpet in his room remains soaked, so wet that it oozes water when stepped on. The room now smells, and the situation remains unresolved.
This is a very small room, maybe 100 sq. ft., and there were reasonable steps that could have been taken to make the space livable. Instead, my son couldn’t even shower for several days and had to go to a relative’s home for the night just to clean up. He has also been sick throughout this time, and he should not be staying in a room with mold exposure. Over the weekend, he drove home 200 miles away just to seek shelter.
There has been zero proactive communication from maintenance or housing about the status of the repairs. He has had to chase updates and monitor the situation himself. Because of this, I had to book him a hotel on campus so he has a clean place to stay this week while we try to get this addressed.
This is a terrible way to treat students, and the lack of urgency around health and safety is unacceptable.
