Long Review: I set an online appt to tour the community. When I arrived, no one seemed to know about my appt. I guess they didn't check the online appointments. I was interested in a 4bd. They told me they wouldn't have any to show for 2 weeks. I asked for a specific date. They didn't know a date, just that it would be 2 weeks. They were going to send me on my way, but I requested to tour a 3bd to get an idea of how the 4bd would look.
Walking to the unit, the leasing agent walked in front of me the entire time and did not speak a single word to me. Once at the unit, she didn't have the correct key, so she had to walk back to the leasing office. When she returned, she again did not have the correct key. She called the leasing office to tell another lady about her issue. Then, she headed back to the leasing office.
A few minutes later, the lady she called approached with the correct key. She walked straight passed me. She did not greet me, she did not speak a single word to me, did not say good morning, did not say hi, nor apologize for the inconvenience. She unlocks the door, and goes into the kitchen. She stood there silently without saying a single word to me. Her cold presence made me feel unwelcomed and uncomfortable. When the original agent returned, the second agent told her with an attitude, "I told you I was coming." Then she left.
As we were walking back to the leasing office, I was not offered to look at the property, such as the pool, playground, etc. She again walked in front of me without saying anything. Upon returning to the leasing office, we went to her desk. She handed me my license. There was an awkward pause (as she did not ask if I was interested in the community or if I had any questions). I thanked her, smiled, and told her to have a nice weekend and left.
In all, my experience was an extreme let-down, as I was originally genuinely interested in the community. The agent who toured me did not seem to be in a bad way- her spirit seemed lovely. She just lacks customer service skills. I believe she didn't engage with me because she didn't know how. The other agent who came with the correct key appeared to not want to do her job, and had an attitude as a result.
Disclaimer: everyone in the office were black women. I am a black woman. I have never received less than exceptional customer service when there is another ethnicity working in a leasing office. I stumble upon a leasing office filled with women who look like me, and this is what I received- a major waste of time. Not all of us, however, are bad at business. In fact, the next property I toured was a much better experience, and the manager was a black woman. She was professional and personable. She told me about the property and gave me tid bits of information that was not available on the website.
If I could, I would seriously ask the person responsible for staffing, "Why?? What made you think these ladies were a good option to represent the community?"
September 4, 2025 me and a resident both crashed into a big dumpster the office manager had placed in a blind spot next to a fire lane, we notify the office the very next day he lied in told us he didn’t authorize the trash company to put the dumpster in the road, he told us to call the trash company number that’s on the dumpster, we called the company they told us the manager of our apartment told them to put it right there, so I told the office manager what the trash company said the office manager go say “he had to put it right there because he’s the manger, he lied to me in my face then a day later the big dumpster was moved, I went to office plenty of times in September to get a update because I need me another vehicle the office manager keep giving me the run arounds, I feel like he trying to protect himself from getting in trouble,we left emails left voicemails nobody have not reached out to us it’s October 14 2025
