  Absolutely unacceptable living experience This is, without question, one of the worst apartment communities I’ve encountered. The elevators are frequently out of service, creating daily inconvenience for residents. Safety is a serious concern—there have been ongoing issues with crime in and around the property, including burglary and theft. Prospective tenants should strongly consider researching local crime statistics before making a decision. Maintenance is consistently below standard. Common areas and building conditions often feel neglected, outdated, and at times unsanitary. The overall condition of the property reflects its age, with little evidence of meaningful updates or upkeep. Noise is another major issue. Loud club-level music and general disturbances are common, making it difficult to enjoy a peaceful living environment. Parking is also problematic. Guest parking is often occupied inappropriately, including use tied to nearby businesses, which creates unnecessary frustration for residents and their visitors. Management is inconsistent. While a couple of staff members are helpful, overall professionalism—particularly at the management level—falls short. Communication and responsiveness need significant improvement. There are far better options in the area. I would strongly recommend exploring other communities before considering this one.

  Just moved into Calais Midtown and I had to leave a quick shoutout for REYNA! She made the entire leasing process feel so easy and stress-free. Super responsive, transparent, and genuinely helpful every step of the way. We chose the Jackson floor plan (corner unit) and we’re obsessed. The natural light is amazing, and the location is perfect. Right in Midtown and so close to Montrose. Also, the property feels incredibly secure and modern. Everything is smart-enabled, from controlled access doors to personalized codes for your unit. It just feels elevated and safe. Overall, such a smooth experience thanks to Reyna. Highly recommend if you’re looking to move here 💛

  I recently moved in and had the pleasure of being assisted by Ms. Reyna, and I can confidently say she made the entire experience smooth and stress-free. From day one and even now after living here for some time she has been incredibly helpful, responsive, and professional. Her level of service is truly A1, and I’m extremely grateful for all the support she’s provided. She went above and beyond to make sure everything was taken care of and that I felt comfortable throughout the process. If you’re considering moving here, I highly recommend asking for Ms. Reyna. You’ll be in great hands!

  I love living here! The location is amazing, it's safe and the apartment is spacious and pretty. While the elevator has been broken several times in the year I've lived here, they almost always get it fixed really quickly (by the next day) and they are supposed to be replacing the entire elevator system starting next month. I would recommend these apartments to anyone who doesn't mind city noise and who loves to live near restaurants, bars, and entertainment.

  Since moving in July, my vehicle has been broken into three separate times. The most recent incident involved a broken window and the theft of nearly $3,000 worth of personal property — items that were not in plain sight. What makes this even worse is management’s complete lack of concern or accountability. Despite repeated complaints from myself and other tenants, their only “solution” has been to leave car doors unlocked and not keep valuables in our vehicles. That response is not only unacceptable, it’s reckless. Management has refused to take basic security measures such as changing gate codes, adding security cameras, or hiring security patrols — even though this is clearly an ongoing issue affecting multiple residents. The same dismissive response is given to every tenant who complains. This is marketed as a gated community, yet there is no meaningful security and no urgency to protect tenants or their property. Rent is collected, but tenant safety is clearly not a priority. If you’re considering living here, understand that repeated break-ins are treated as normal, and you should not expect management to take action when it happens.
