  The recent change in ownership and front office personnel has certainly had a negative impact on its residents. I once enjoyed the lively and welcoming atmosphere felt as a volunteer since its initial opening as the Mariposa at Westchester 55+ Apartment Homes. For the past three years , I served as a volunteer teacher for weekly line dancing and water aerobics classes. These classes encouraged memory training , mobility , balance, and flexibility for the body , and served as an enjoyable experience for residents. Most importantly, it gave residents a sense of overall wellness and community belonging. My recent decision to discontinue (as of June 2025) my volunteer services under the current management stems from what has become a common practice: 1. No one in the front office (routinely closed during business hours) to answer questions when potential residents dropped in to make inquiries. I or participants in my classes would have to stop to answer questions about the whereabouts of the front office employees. 2. I’ve listened to shared complaints by both current and past residents about ongoing issues and concerns (delayed apartment repairs , car thefts due to the ever broken security gates, no or excessively late access to the community pool during the summer months , unfair community gardening restrictions, parking issues, and the loss of social activities once enjoyed by residents) with the new management . The common feelings by residents are that their concerns were met with unprofessional and uncaring attitudes. The once lively and positive atmosphere within this residential environment has certainly changed for the worse as reflected by the high turnover of long term residents leaving in droves keeps increasing. Unfortunately, this has led to my no longer wanting to volunteer my services in this type of community environment.

  I just called checking on apartments for a dear friend and Bailey the Community Manager was amazing. She was so helpful, looking everything up trying to see how this would work, or that would work understanding my friend's schedule of when she'll be arriving. Again. I cannot say enough about Bailey at the front desk. She was exceptional. She is definitely a draw to make you want to check this complex out. And that is what we'll be doing in just a few days.

  I HOPE TO BE A NEW TENANT HERE VERY SOON.IM COMING FROM LUFKIN,TX WHICH IS 3-4 HRS.AWAY AND HAVE FAMILY HERE IN GRAND PRAIRIE..I'VE HEARD SO MANY GREAT COMPLIMENTS OF THIS BEAUTIFUL COMMUNITY,THE REVIEWS ARE AWESOME AND SO IS ROSIE THE PROPERTY MANAGEMENT.SHES CHARMING,PATIENT YET HAS A WELCOMING ATTITUDE .THE GALLERY IS FLATTERING..LOTS OF AMENITIES.WHO WOULD NOT WANT LIVE IN SUCH A SAFE,CHARMING PLACE.
