I have lived in this apartment since March 9th. It is now May 19th, so roughly two months. Parking is not bad. I have never not had a place to park and the apartments are decent looking but they do not a lot of cabinet space in the kitchen or counter space in the bathrooms. The staff for most part are decent about listening to your situation but horrible at following through. Other than that, I have had problems with this complex from the very beginning. FIRST: The TRAIN brings every person you can imagine right outside along with the NOISE. The noise took me about a week to be able to sleep through and after my first month I was able to tune it out. I will say naps on weekends are not an option at all! SECOND: I put in work orders with 4 different people that took over 2 weeks to get everything resolved. Some things were honestly pretty minor to me because they were things that were messed up with the apartment from the beginning and I just wanted it on paper to make sure I wasn't responsible at the end of my lease. Others were pretty annoying. It took 2 weeks to get a new shower head as the original needed to be replaced. I found myself putting in the same work orders with different people, whether it be for my lights or not being able to open my blinds. I have had a flickering light in my closet since day one and their response was simply, "that's just the way the lights are," and there's paint on the floor, I'm assuming from maintence after the last person moved out. SECOND: I walked out to go to the parking garage and found a HOMELESS MAN shivering, sleeping on the stairs. I am a single mother that gets up for work at 4 am and I'm out by 6 with my daughter. I had to explain to my 4 YEAR OLD why a man was sleeping on our stairs. I ended up calling cooperate and left a message, they never responded. I have yet to receive a phone call from them. I also called the off-site staff and they did call the on-site officer to inform him. THIRD: My daughter and I hadn't really started grocery shopping and cooking until about a month into my lease. THE VERY MOMENT I START BRINGING IN GROCERIES AND COOKING I GET ROACHES!!! I have stepped on two late at night coming out of my bathroom, (obviously no socks on.) I called the office, they put in a work order at 2 pm and that wasn't responded to until 6 pm, stating that they will see if the guys can come out and spray and will put me on the LIST for pest control to come out! I mean how many people do you have with this problem? I hadn't seen a letter from maintence saying that someone had been out nor had i seen any other bugs so i assumed they came by, I will admit, BIG mistake on my end. I put in that request May 10th. Today, May 19th, my daughter runs in the room screaming saying that there's a bug on the wall! I'm not even exaggerating, this thing was HUGE, climbing my kitchen wall WITH THE LIGHTS ON! DUDE WAS A SOLDIER! I will also mention, I am not a filthy person, AT ALL! I signed a 6 month lease (thank God,) and did not move in with much. I rinse off my dishes and take my trash out once full. I have never lived in an apartment with so many issues and I DO NOT DO ROACHES! I'm writing this right after chasing this bug around for 30 minutes with freaking cowboy boots on and I still have yet to find it -_- I have put in a request yet again for them to come spray. I pay entirely TOO MUCH MONEY to live with all these issues. I will come back after my lease is up with an update.
