- DJDavon Jennings2 days ago1.0My experience with Fairway Independent Mortgage was extremely frustrating and concerning. I applied for a mortgage loan on December 30, 2025 for a new construction home purchase. Despite submitting my application at that time, I did not receive a Loan Estimate until February 6, 2026 and only after specifically requesting it. During that time my spouse and I had already committed significant funds toward the purchase of the home. Without the Loan Estimate we were unable to properly evaluate the loan terms, monthly payment, and overall affordability before becoming financially committed. I also contacted the loan officer again on January 21, 2026 regarding the status of the loan. The timeline of events raises serious concerns about the delay in providing required mortgage disclosures. Because of these concerns I filed a complaint with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau so the matter could be formally reviewed. This experience caused significant financial uncertainty and stress for my family during what should have been an exciting process. Based on my experience, I would not recommend using Fairway Independent Mortgage, even as a builder’s preferred lender. I strongly encourage anyone considering working with this lender to make sure they receive all required loan disclosures and fully understand the terms of the loan before committing funds to a home purchase.
