- JSJackson Shaw4 days ago1.0Security deposit withheld without any signed policy provided. I applied for an apartment at Civic at Frisco Square and paid a $150 security deposit. I later canceled my application before moving in or taking possession of the unit. The property refused to refund the deposit, stating it was non-refundable due to cancellation and holding the unit off the market. However, despite multiple requests, they were unable to provide any signed agreement or specific written policy showing that I agreed to the deposit being non-refundable under these circumstances. The only documentation provided relates to the application fee, not the deposit in question. At this time, no written policy has been provided to support retaining the $150 deposit.
