  THE BEST apartment community I have been in! Highly recommend! The pros: very walkable area with plenty of restaurants, stores, etc within a mile or two. The train is really close as well. Made going to Dallas and the airport a breeze! The building was always clean and well maintained and parking was simple; overall quiet area. The best part of this complex, though, was the staff. The people in the office and the service technicians were the most professional, kind, and organized group! If nothing else, lease with them for the people! The con (which really isn’t a big deal): a few homeless in the area. Never felt unsafe but worth knowing. Moved out of the area or I probably would have stayed here forever! Can’t recommend enough! Go check them out!

  Today the managers were dealing with a large Amazon delivery to the apartment lockers after the holidays. I drove up, and they brought all of my delivery boxes to my car. They were incredibly generous and helpful. They love to plan community parties also !

  A very nice and conveniently located affordable 4-storey apartment building just approx a quarter of a mile to the nearest hospital. 8 minutes ride to the nearest Walmart and Target stores. Gardens, animal zoo and various parks are accessible just between 1-7 miles from the apartments building.

  I lived at the Phoenix for 24 months and very much enjoyed my time there. If not for personal reasons I would have stayed longer! The Phoenix is perfectly situated for those wanted an urban lifestyle but without the pace or hassle of being in a very busy location. It’s easy to walk, bike or bus to downtown and all of the Near Southside. The surroundings are generally very quiet, the only thing I would warn is that trash trucks picking up from surrounding businesses can come in the middle of the night and are very loud. Amenities are lovely as well, and the building feels very secure, especially with the enclosed hallways. Although I have not looked at apartment prices in the area since 2018, at the time The Phoenix also was one of the most reasonable of all comparable communities in the area. And finally, the management and maintenance team is fantastic and a joy to work with!

  Update: We ended up moving out early due to safety concerns. This has the worst management we’ve had in all of our years living in apartments. No care for safety or making us feel like our apartment is home. When we first moved in a year ago, this place felt like home. Management was nice, very friendly, helpful, and went above and beyond for us. Then we put in our first complaint (after politely discussing twice and not wanting to complain) and everything changed. Our concerns are now not taken seriously and we no longer feel welcome or safe here but are staying because it has a terrific maintenance team and a reliable courtesy officer for when we need him (which has been a handful of times lately).
