Every single morning at 7:30 a.m., there are lawn mowers running directly outside my window. On other mornings, starting around 8:30 a.m., it’s tree trimming with electric saws.
While one might argue that the property is being maintained, the frequency makes it extremely disruptive as a tenant. This happens EVERY DAY.
If you work from home, expect ROUND 2 to start between 2:00–2:30 p.m., often lasting a over 2 hours — right in the middle of the workday when you may be on calls or trying to focus. For me, I have to go into my small closet and work.
At this point, it feels excessive and unnecessary. Seems to me that the workers just need something to do and are clocking their hours at the tenants expense. Lawns do not need to be mowed daily. Leaf blowers do not need to stand in the same spot for 10-20 minutes at a time before taking a few steps. It’s exhausting to live with constant landscaping noise.
What makes it more frustrating is that the results don’t justify the disruption. Grass clippings are left sitting in pathways for hours before being blown away later in the afternoon. It actually makes the property look unkempt for most of the day.
This could easily be consolidated into once-a-week maintenance rather than daily disturbance.
If you’re considering moving here, just be aware that early morning and mid-afternoon landscaping noise is a regular part of living here. If you want to have people over, just warn them that the place looks nothing like the pictures online as there's usually grass and sticks all over the place until it's time for hours of leaf blowing noise.
This makes the daily disruption even harder to justify, especially when the visible results are minimal and cleanup is delayed.
It's absolutely absurd that this is acceptable and a big reason many of my neighbors and I will not be renewing our leases.
