- NDNicole DJul 13, 20221.0Where do I even begin with this horrible development? We moved into our home around two years ago with the promise of no neighbors behind us. About a month later Pulte Homes begins clearing the massive wooded lot behind our home. Turning our once peaceful neighborhood into a full blown construction zone and dust pit. The first six months of clearing were absolute hell. As they were clearing the beautiful wooded lot they burned all the logs instead of hauling them away, causing our home and neighborhood to be coated in a thick cloud of smoke and ash. The air quality has only gone downhill since. During clearing they were less than a foot away from our back fence and constantly peering over. Unfortunately I was at work one day when they hit the fence, knocking it over, and causing our beloved dog to escape. We never found him. Of course I contacted the foreman to see about repairs and I was promptly told the incident was my fault and my dog should have been indoors. No compassion, no apology and no professionalism. As the months have dragged on the once flourishing forest behind our home has turned into an abysmal pit of dust and anytime the wind blows a fine layer of silt coats everything in the neighborhood. There is nothing that doesn't have a thick layer of sand on it anymore. Our roads in the neighborhood are now pitted because they run heavy equipment down them. I see roadkill constantly now because Pulte Homes has cleared their homes with no consideration for anyone that lived there before them. Only to build some of the ugliest model homes I have ever seen. The pit is an eyesore for everyone that passes by and everyone in the neighborhoods they didnt consider before building. The new lot also attracts rather unwelcome visitors.. there are homeless that now camp in the space or around the surrounding woods and constantly leave trash lying aroud. The Mavera development turned our peaceful neighborhood into a disgusting and trashy space. Do not buy a home here.
