I recently toured Winddance Apartments while considering a two-bedroom, two-bath unit. The staff was very nice and pleasant, which I appreciated.
Unfortunately, the condition of the property was concerning. As we walked up to the second-floor apartment, the stairwell was very dirty, with cobwebs and trash stains near the door . The stairwell and hallway appeared to need power washing. When I asked about this, I was told the power-washing nozzle was broken and had not been replaced.
Inside the apartment, there was a very strong odor. I was informed that the previous tenants allowed their pets to urinate inside the unit and that a small machine was being used to air it out. The carpet appeared shampooed, but the padding underneath seemed saturated, and my question about replacing the carpet was not addressed.
I gave two stars mainly because the property staff was friendly. I would consider renting here if improvements were made, including proper cleaning of stairwells and replacing carpet and padding in units with pet damage. I hope management finds this feedback helpful.
UPDATE !!!!!!!!
Manager Charrise gave me a call and took the time to explain everything in detail. She also asked whether I felt the property staff who showed me the apartment were fair, which I appreciated. Since my visit, the apartment has been updated with new carpet and a fresh coat of paint, and the stairwells will be power washed as well. I’m very grateful that she personally reached out—she was extremely nice and pleasant to speak with. I look forward to viewing the apartment again.

I have been dealing with LumaCorp Apartments for the past 4-5 years now…All I can say is RUN!!!!!!I have dealt with roaches/ water bugs, my air going out like 3 times, dirty apartment at the time of move in! Twice! And yes they will try to charge you for the last tenants problems that they never fixed…they will also leave you homeless and try to get you to move to one of there other ghetto apartments! Wind dance is a cool place to stay! However, depending on the management your either screwed! Or the roaches are coming to get you!

This wasn’t a big issue and we were trying to resolve it cooperatively, but the property manager treated it like a confrontation. Instead of helping, her tone was dismissive and stressful, and it felt like she was actively pushing her higher-up to deny our request rather than letting the situation be reviewed fairly. Overall, it came across as demanding and unprofessional customer service.

The current manager comes across as very cold. Regarding the agreements made with the previous leasing staff, she shows little understanding and dismisses them as 'mistakes.' I understand that different people have different management styles, but the reason I originally signed my lease with Wind Dance was because of how friendly Taisha was; I'm very sad she has left. The current manager reminds me of the worst managers I’ve dealt with—arrogant and quick to blame others without trying to understand the situation. I even had to remind her that I do not work for her company just to get her to stop using such an uncomfortable tone.
