The roach infestation at this property is completely unsanitary, regardless of how clean you keep your apartment or how often pest control is contacted. It was a persistent issue that was never truly resolved. Roaches were everywhere—you could even find them dead outside the building while walking from the gym to the apartment.
The staff was extremely unprofessional, especially during the move-out process. They made it unnecessarily difficult to leave and often treated residents in a condescending, “less than” manner rather than with respect.
Security was another major concern. The gates to the community were constantly broken or left open, which is unacceptable given the area. Because of this lack of security, my laptop was stolen from my car. Resident safety should be a priority, and it clearly was not.
The mailroom was always a mess with no organized system for picking up packages. On top of that, the water heater rarely worked—you were lucky if you got hot water long enough to take a proper shower.
If you’re searching for an apartment in this area, I strongly recommend skipping Haywood Apartments. It is far from the “luxury” experience it claims to be.

Facility management seems responsive and kind. With construction going on, it’s nice to see intentional progress to upgrade facilities and make repairs. No complaints here!

If I could give them 0/5 stars, I would.
Moved in 2023 and lived here until 2025.
really nice for a year; suddenly management changed and there was a lack of care and obvious signs of neglect.
the gym was never clean or upkept. the treadmills were broken. dumbbells, yoga mats, kettle bells slowly disappeared.
treadmills machines started screeching because kids were allowed to play in the gym, each summer, late at night, unsupervised while their guardians were getting drunk at the pool.
Packages kept getting stolen and the cameras never worked. The Property Staff didn’t add any extra security measures until an FBI document was stolen and they got reprimanded for it.
The dog park had a horrible infestation of fleas. I had to stop taking my dogs there because they would have swarms of fleas that were horrid.
water heater wasn’t working properly. some days (summer and winter especially) the water would not heat for most of the days. the water pressure comes in and out at random times of the day and night.
The fire alarm would go off in the middle of winter. If the temperature dropped below 30° the alarm would go off in the middle of the night causing an entire building to evacuate for no emergency.
There was one staff member that was suspicious, that stole unclaimed amazon packages but she left the property a while back.
They held me to an impossible standards while moving out, then charged me for things that were out of my control.
With the brand new apartment complex, The Nelson, opening up right next door and Buda/Kyle houses, you could easily get more out your rent money ANYWHERE else.

Their management is professional and great to work with. The Apartment cares about it's residents! Especially with the awesome coffee machine from Texas Office Coffee.
