  I should start out by saying my initial experience with the construction and everything was pretty good. However, we are just under 3 years into ownership. Thus far, I have had 6 cracks in my foundation, multiple cracks in walls all throughout the house, walls that have bows in them. All the trim work has separated, window casings that are falling apart, every inch of caulk in the house needs to be redone. Shower doors that leak, a leak in the roof, nail pops on the roof and in every floor of the house, outlets that have come apart from the wall. Im sure i am missing things, but for 280k I would expect a bit more fit and finish quality. Severly disappointed after a few years.

  We have worked with Shane since July of 2025, we just signed and received our keys this past Friday, February 20th. Shane has been great to work with throughout the entire process start to finish. He always answered our questions or found out answers if he didn’t have one for us. He always went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. 10/10 recommend Shane Weakley for your new mobile home needs at the Strawberry Plains location!

  This is the second time we have purchased a home from Clayton’s on Strawberry Plains. We chose them a second time because we appreciated their patience in the purchasing process. I do not like being rushed when making a big decision because I like to take my time to ensure we are making the best decision possible for our family. Shane respected that and never made us rush through the process, but he did regularly check in which was nice to have a check in without pressuring us to move forward with something. I liked being able to sit down and go through all of the options, checking, then double checking our selection. The level of care and thoroughness in the process has been fantastic and led to exactly the outcome we wanted. There were a few hiccups, but Shane was quick to course correct and ensure everything was the way we wanted it. Norris homes are beautiful and you’d never know it was a double-wide because it’s such quality work. We love our new home! I did want to forewarn anyone starting this process, it will take longer than you anticipate. If you want to move in by X date, then add 6-8 months to whatever time they say it take to build the house. My mistake of estimating move in time was thinking oh we can move in within 6-8 weeks, but there’s so much more that goes into it. They can’t move homes unless the conditions are right, then there are multiple different teams that come to work and set everything up. It’s a lot of work to get from picking out cabinets to moving in. I also recommend being involved with the process after your home is ordered. When they deliver, be there, when the porch is getting installed, be there and etc. We were lucky our house was not installed at the incorrect orientation because we were present and happened to make a comment about us being weird and wanting the back of the house facing the road.

  Shane has been great to work with. Everything he said came true and happened when he said it would. The process was very clear, honest, and thorough. I would highly recommend Shane to anyone looking to buy.
