- MMMichaela MosleyOct 15, 20251.0Honestly just save your money and rent somewhere else. We just moved out and our experience here has literally been horrible. In the span of being a tenant, 15 employees have quit and 5 of which were managers…that should say something. The managers coming and going had nothing nice to say about the owner Shelly stating she is rude, demeaning, disrespectful, and doesn’t care about anything other than money. I hate to see that there words were true. We were moved into a cockroach infested apartment without being disclosed before our move in. 5 mins having the keys we walk the apartment and sure enough- they were everywhere. I was promised that If we still moved it we would be taken care of. 5 months in, Emily the original manager and front staff quit within the same week. We were not helped at all. We asked to move to a new unit and not pay the transfer fee due to the issue. It was granted. We found a new unit that was already ready to move in per the website. We go to view and it was gutted. Move in was supposed to be April for the new unit, and kept getting pushed back month by month until I had enough by July. The vendor explained the reason we weren’t able to move in is because they weren’t being paid to do work. This conversation was outside the office. They promise to treat our apartment but we went months with nothing being done so I drew the line when a girl I was babysitting almost put a roach in her mouth. I was angry and went straight to the office and explained the last 8 months of issues to which I was met with a snarky attitude by Ingrid who also quit. Through all of this, we left and are so at peace with our decision. Almost 2k a month for what…roaches, poor communication, no follow through, ignorant employees who don’t know what to do??? Yeah, it’s not worth your money. Trust me when I say to just save yourself the headache like we wished we had. We had fill in managers saying that building 11 was not the only building having issues with roaches…building 6 was as well and more. Save yourself the time, stress, worry, and money and invest in renting from a company that will invest in you. Village crest has been nothing short of amazing and you can decorate to make anything beautiful. At least they are clean, bug free, and Kim and the owners know how to treat people.
