That said, the rent is a decent price for the location, maintenance is very timely and responsive, and the other tenants and general community are very nice and down to earth. That said, there have been several issues with gas lines being replaced, during which we were told NOT to contact KUB since it would involve them shutting off gas to the whole building if it was a true leak. While I can understand not wanting to shut down the entire buildings hot water, there needs to be some middle ground solution, because a suspected gas leak is an incredibly urgent situation, not one in which you always want to wait for management especially during off hours. Furthermore 1/2 elevators has been broken the entire time I have been here, and the second one is not very nice in terms of cleanliness or smell. Also that 1 “working” elevator has stopped working on several occasions, leaving wheelchair bound individuals on higher floors stranded. For me, these are manageable issues as a healthy able-bodied individual. But for people with small children, disabilities, or other difficulties, I would not necessarily suggest this place since it doesn’t seem to be very accommodating in many ways.
