  I want to share my experience with NVR Loan Services because what they call “loan specialists” are far from specialists. From the start, they couldn’t give me a clear timeframe for when my credit would improve or even tell me exactly what credit score was needed for approval. They ran my credit twice without giving me any real guidance — each time counting as a hard inquiry, which dropped my score even more. The sales team made everything sound fine, reassuring me that my credit “should be good,” but then they kept pulling my credit multiple times. Each hard inquiry lowered my score by about 18 points. Instead of helping, they made things worse. To make it more frustrating, I had a credit card reporting incorrectly, and I was told after I closed it that I shouldn’t have closed it. If it’s reporting wrong, why keep it open? That advice came way too late. When I tried to speak with a manager — both at NVR and Ryan Homes — no one ever called me back or responded to messages. It’s like once they pull your credit and realize you’re not ready to buy right now, they stop caring completely. I’ve since refinanced my car loan on my own — my interest rate went from 23% down to 5.99%, and I’ve made two months of on-time payments. Still, my credit hasn’t increased much, and NVR hasn’t offered any real advice or support on how to improve it. What’s worse is how they treat families like mine. My spouse works part-time because our son has special needs, but that doesn’t seem to matter to them. Even though our household income is around $56,000–$63,000, and my spouse has two years of W2s from the same job, they insist on two full-time incomes for two years. It feels like they don’t care about individual family situations — only numbers on paper. If you’re considering working with NVR Loan or Ryan Homes, be careful. The so-called “credit pulls that don’t affect your score” are hard inquiries that absolutely do hurt your credit. And don’t expect real guidance or support — because once you start asking questions or need help, communication stops.

  Excellent experience buying a new townhome with Ryan Homes in the highly rated Station Camp school district! Working with Raymond Hatfield (“Brian”) to purchase a new home at McCain’s Station in Gallatin, TN, resulted in a very positive outcome. Brian displayed outstanding professionalism, expertise, and personalized attention, making the entire process smooth and enjoyable.
