Mrs. Ashley W. is so amazing, very attentive, and very courteous! She is always available and very quick to solve ANY concerns/questions that I have. She is the best Property Manager North Shore Flats have had since residing here! She is nothing but the best of the best and her customer service is TOP TIER! Thank you for everything and being the BEST property manager we’ve had around here in a while, Mrs. Ashley W!
Work request not being filled, over abusive rental manager, rent that keeps getting hiked up, no water pressure (do to a leak that hasn’t been fixed for at least 5 months now) being scalped by onsite laundry facility.

UPDATE 7/28/20:
Northshore Flats gets 2 more stars since I spoke to Jennifer from S&S Management who was very kind and quick to respond to my concerns. So I want to clarify/correct some of my original statements. Somewhere between switching managers and COVID-19 there was a lack of communication which is why we weren’t given notices about inspections or pest control. Also, I thought parking tickets were being given out but they’re actually tow notices for specific reasons. She also clarified that the lease isn’t auto renew and it goes into a month-month for residents who don’t say if they’re staying or not. 60 days is a lot of time for changes to happen and I feel like it’s too far in advanced for people to know what they’re going to do. However she said that renew notices were given out late so they changed the policy to 30 days if I understood correctly. We’re so thankful we no longer have to pay for September and we can move out August 31st! Lastly, she said they have been approved to put in better insulation. I don’t know when this will happen but it would probably help the AC problem. I just wish I could see it before we move out.
ORIGINAL REVIEW (2 stars):
I’ve lived here for three years and it felt like home for a long time. The aesthetics on the inside are pleasing to look at. The location is in the heart of Red Bank. The complex is quiet and we’ve never heard any loud residents in our building. The pool is nice. For these reasons I can’t give it 1 star. Unfortunately when S & S property management took over, the place felt less welcoming. At first they made some nice changes. They fixed up the roof, we got new windows, new exterior paint colors, new furniture around the pool, and they painted new parking lot lines. However, as I said in my S & S Property Management review, we never hear from them. When they were changing the windows, they didn’t send any notices for the longest time. Then randomly we got a “48 hour notice” about construction workers coming into our unit the morning of. We’re supposed to have quarterly inspections to make sure things like the smoke alarm work, but do they ever happen? Nope. The pool hasn’t opened this summer and I’m assuming it’s because of COVID-19 but have we heard from them? Nope. We didn’t get pest control for four months. Did we hear why? Nope. Two managers in two years, did they introduce themselves? Nope. Guess what they can do? Give parking tickets. Their doors are always locked and they never answer the phone. We see the maintenance guy more than we see the manager. Who I’m assuming is doing his hardest to work for so many units. Something he can’t fix on his own is the A/C. For a 900 sqft apartment, our electric bill is never lower than 120. The A/C is always running and has stopped working a few times over the years. It gets to be around 80 degrees in our apartment on those hot days. They need to bite the bullet and buy a better HVAC or something. I can’t say I’m sad to be leaving after buying a house. Unfortunately we were supposed to give a 60 day notice that we wouldn’t be resigning our lease which expires August 31st. By the way, the lease automatically renews itself if you don’t let them know by 60 days. Zero exceptions apparently. Even though the renewal notice we got on the door literally says “to avoid paying month-month, a new lease needs to signed and submitted by July 29th” and later it states “remember, a 30 day written notice to vacate is required if you decide to move”. This is misleading because when we let them know before July 29th to give a 30 day notice, we were told it wouldn’t count until after the lease expires. Looks like we’re paying for BOTH a mortgage and rent for a place we won’t be living at for the month of September. We were given the renewal notice as a “courtesy” AFTER the 60 day mark had already passed. Not that we could’ve told them we were buying a house any earlier since the sale was only just finalized. I’m very disappointed to be leaving on this note. Make sure you read your lease guys. This company is only after the money.
I have lived at this property for over a year and have been so pleased with the property as a whole, the management and my unit that I am upgrading to a townhome and signing another lease. The management and maintenance staff are very responsive and quick to solve and issues or answer and questions. The rent is reasonable and the units are clean and maintained. The property has been upgraded and they have many more additions to the amenities planned for this spring. With all that, plus the location being so ideal and so close to major shopping, restaurants and attractions...I can't imagine living anywhere else.
