  I recently moved into Shallowford Apartments, and my experience so far has been very disappointing. This month I received a very high water and sewer bill of $225—my first full month here. In my previous apartments, my average combined bill was around $100, so this is unusually high. I reached out to the Property Manager multiple times through email (including follow-ups) but got no response. When I went to the office directly, I was told that they are not answerable since the billing is handled by CONSERVICE. However, CONSERVICE also refused to provide details of the bill, stating it is "confidential," and redirected me back to the Property Manager. This back-and-forth with no accountability or transparency has been extremely frustrating. As a resident, I expect clear communication and a proper explanation of charges, but instead, I feel ignored and misled. This has been the worst experience I’ve had in any apartment so far.

  DO NOT MOVE HERE!! I was just reading a review from someone named Taylor and I have to agree with her sentiments. I moved here a few months ago and from day 1 I Was disappointed. I was supposed to move in in one day but they ended up pushing it back an entire week because cleaning and maintenance hadn’t been complete and when I came to pick up my keys to move in and do a walk through- it still wasn’t done. The little girl Sydney did my move in and she was nasty. I got my keys and asked if she was going to do a walk through with me and she said no that I would do it online. I came back momentarily and told her that it looks as if the cleaning and maintenance still hadn’t been taken care of. She got snapped at me and said I’m not responsible for that, that’s not my fault. She was the only one there to provide me with the keys. I couldn’t wait any longer as I was 9 months pregnant and needed to give birth soon. I moved in and even my welcome gift was disrespectful. The only thing I could think was “is that how you feel about new tenants “ The place was disgusting. Elizabeth did however get maintenance and the cleaners over to rectify the issue, but this was after me waiting and it pestering for a few days. There was no sense of urgency and I felt dismissed until I told them to call corporate. They finally broke down and fixed it. There was so much wrong with my apartment- the audacity of them to give me keys to a filthy apartment. I literally had to ask if they would reside in that space and they said no! So why on earth would you expect someone else to and charge nearly 2000.00 a month . Later, I got call about some kittens I had in my apartment that I was holding for someone. The kittens were going to be gone that very day. Maintenance was in my apartment while I was away and decided to report it. After returning I went to the office and told Paige that if an issue arises later, I would rather deal with her and Elizabeth versus the Sydney because she was nasty. The Sydney character started rebutting what I said and became argumentative- I simply said I don’t want to deal with her and I should have that right as a tenant. Paige proceeded to try to walk me out as if I was being aggressive. And from that moment- I knew she wasn’t the person to talk to. I will be posting a secondary post with my latest issue

  A place that felt like home, because of one truly amazing human being. Living at The Shallowford was more than just renting an apartment it was an experience that left a lasting imprint on my life. And the heart behind that experience? Paige Martin. From the very first moment, Paige didn’t treat me like just another resident she treated me with genuine kindness, respect, and care. Her energy, patience, and warmth are rare to find in this world. It was because of her that I chose to stay, and I can honestly say it was the best decision I made during my time in Chattanooga. She is the soul of this community. Professional, compassionate, and deeply human Paige makes you feel seen, valued, and supported. I never imagined a leasing manager could make such an impact, but she truly did. Because of her, The Shallowford became home to me. Now that I’ve moved to Buffalo, I carry those memories with so much gratitude. And if life ever brings me back to Chattanooga, there is no question I will return to The Shallowford without hesitation. If you’re looking for a place to live, I highly recommend you stop by and talk to Paige Martin. She’s not only incredible at her job she’s a light in this world. Thank you, Paige.   I have tried viewing this property on 6 different occasions, the office is always locked and no one is ever there. This was my last attempt!
