  My husband and I just recently moved out of Hall Creek apartments and if you asked me 6 months in if I would recommend the apartments to others, I would have said yes. We were extremely disappointed with the way management handled us moving out. We gave our 60 day notice as required back in September. We were contacted 3-4 different times about making a decision so as we stepped into the house buying process and the unknown, we decided we would just go ahead and tell Hall Creek we were moving out. When notifying them we were sent a notice to vacate, which stated our last day in our apartment was Nov. 4th and we would owe $200 for the month of November. We took that date and planned our whole house buying process around it as well as our budget. We moved out November 1st and went to turn in the keys on Nov. 4th like we were told to do. When my husband went to the leasing office we were notified that our lease actually didn't end until Nov. 14th and we would owe $900 not $200 for the month. They briefly apologized for their mistake and told us there was nothing they could do about their mistake. The only option they gave was for us to pay the amount later in the month which still makes us owe $700 extra dollars in the month for a mistake that was made by them. Then the other option was for us to make sure our apartment was in tip top shape so we can receive our $200 security deposit back. We did just that so that we don't have to lose $700 this month but it could be more like $500. Then when we got our letter back that explained our security deposit has been secured there were a bunch of fees taken out and we actually were only receiving a little over $100... Previously on the phone they told us we would get all $200 back if we did the list of things they gave us. I know this may not seem like a big deal, but I am just extremely disappointed in how the management handled this. They consistently made us feel like all of the situation was our fault even though this all started back in September when they made a mistake. We are a young married couple who trusted that we would be taken care of and have not felt that in the slightest.

  I Love Hall Creek, it is more than a place to live it is a community of wonderful people. I have made more true friends. The summers are so much fun. Everyone meets at the pool and we visit and cook out. The office staff and maintenance staff are on top of everything!!! So kind and will do anything they can to make your life here better and happy. The outside is kept clean and always freshly cut and plants for the season. The dog park is where all the dogs can play together and it is kept clean.

  I recently had a very disappointing experience with this community’s lease termination process. As newcomers to the U.S., finding a roommate was already extremely challenging, yet the only “solution” we were offered was to secure a replacement roommate—something they knew would be nearly impossible. Instead of making things easier, this felt more like creating obstacles rather than offering real support. During a visit to the office, a staff member also commented that people in the U.S. generally don’t prefer third-floor apartments. This remark felt discriminatory and left me very uncomfortable. When we proposed a reasonable alternative (moving out early, paying an additional month’s rent, and leaving the deposit), management was completely inflexible and unwilling to work toward a fair agreement. Overall, I cannot recommend this community to friends or anyone looking for a supportive and understanding management team.
