- SBSidney BennettDec 17, 20251.0If Google would let me give them zero stars, I sure would.... Not only did their communication skills suck, they sold us a house that is constantly needing fixes on. It took them 6 months to get our back door to stop leaking from them not sealing it right and it still has problems but they basically said the warranty is up so we are SOL even though its been an ongoing issue. My husband had some words with them after going through this issue plus an electric issue with very little communication and their solution was to send us a cutting board.... lolol Biggest regret of our lives but we are stuck because we owe way too much on this POS that we had them put on family land and can't afford to go any where else

I spent my hard earned money and my future hard earned money on a quality house to be put in my dream spot. Ive had nothing but one problem after another since the beginning. Communication is one of the biggest issues! I have followed up numerous times with no answers or being put off with "ill pass it along". My backyard pools water, my front door doesnt seal properly allowing bugs into my home, I have chips in the bathtub they agreed to fix upon signing the closing paperwork, nails coming up in the floor, strips coming off the walls, floor creaking, the lady overhead of my project forgot the welcome home day to hand over my keys- I had to reach out seeing as she was late and she admitted to forgetting, they forgot to tell me my water under the sink was turned off due to there not being the correct clamps and such on hoses with caused me a huge water leak, there are huge tire ruts in my yard from where they delivered the home when it was raining.. i could sit here all day. Im extremely unsatisfied. Clayton homes of alcoa took my hard earned money and my dreams and made them so so... such a disappointment. This location should be ashamed of the way they've communicated and carried out the project on my home.
